Everything has a creator? Great, who or what created your god then? We can all agree that the bible was written by humans, and yet you suggest that because something is created by humans, it can be just made up. Exactly. The bible can be made up. You attack the very advances in medicine that have most likely contributed to your life in countless time. Scientific advances in medicine have allowed us to live longer, healthier lives AS A SPECIES.

the problem with that theory is that the bible, your one source of evidence, doesn't state that it happened that way. There is no explosion described in the bible. There is no explanation in the bible for an expanding universe. In the bible, humans did not evolve, they were created as is in gods image. Seems that you don't agree with your holy source of evidence?

Belief is great, but this is a debate site. Debate entails offering arguments supported by evidence. You seem to suggest that one cannot be a believer in science and god at the same time. Any support for this?

2 points

Yea! More religious bile!! First you must prove god exists, then that he is capable and indeed break the laws of physics. Good luck. But from what I've seen so far from you, I'm not going to hold my breath. Evidence and support are words beyond you it seems

2 points

Yep, looks like you're just going to make wild unfounded claims with no shred of evidence whatsoever.

4 points

Are you going to provide any factual support for your claims or are you just going spew religious claims with no foundation?

3 points

And you have some evidence for this? That science cannot exist without god?

1 point

The problem with your theory is that, according to the bible, humans did not evolve. We were "created" in gods image...as is

The fact that the universe is expanding is evidence of the big bang as well as background radiation and the residual temperature of the vacuum of space. These are all evidence of the theory YOU claim there is no proof of. Now, besides the fact that a book written 2000+ years ago, what proof do YOU have?

So, in the name of population control, god makes people suffer for years with cancer and disease before allowing them to die? Why not just keep a woman from conceiving in the first place?

1 point

Exactly. We've stumbled accross the truth finally. Something god CAN"T do! If there is something your god CAN'T do then he is NOT all-powerful.

So it's possible for God to simply have always been, but impossible for energy to have always existed?

1 point

The world is round because in its early stage it was molten. Now, you take a liquid place it in space with only its own gravitational forces to contend with and it will take the form of a sphere. Of course, the Earth is not perfectly spherical. This is due to opposing gravitational forces of the sun and other planets as well as its rotation.

"What do you consider evidence?"

Something that can be tested to be accurate and is the foundation for proof and therefore belief.

"Are you claiming that science is 100% accurate?"

No one has ever claimed that science is 100% accurate. However, when discrepancies are found in a theory, they are tested as false and the theory improved upon.

You seem to found a lack of belief in scientific methods because those methods were created by fallible people. The very same can and should be said of your bible.

The argument of free will does not justify physical evils in the world. Physical evils like earthquake, flood, disease. I do not get to choose whether or not I am the victim of disaster. It's simply the mechanics of this world. It does not follow that a loving god would create a planet that destroys us and causes us to suffer. Nothing in your free will argument will ever explain why god created viruses that feed on human flesh.

1 point

This is, for me at least, the biggest hurdle for all religions, not just Christianity. Christianity attempts to explain it all away with the term "free will". While free will may be used as a crutch to attempt to justify MORAL evils in the world like murder or rape, it does in no way justify the existence of PHYSICAL evils like earthquake, flood, fire and disease. I do not have the free will to choose to be the victim of a hurricane, tornado or earthquake. So, the question is that if a loving god exists, why did he create a planet that kills his most loved through the very mechanics by which it works?

1 point

So, you agree with the young earth creation theory that the earth is less that 10,000 years old?

1 point

And here you admit that something CAN exist without creation. Well, my assertion is that the UNIVERSE has always existed. God is superfluous. As far as radio waves are concerned, your analogy fails. We can measure radio waves with various devices. Your god cannot be measured by any device. I can confirm the existance of radio waves. You cannot confirm the presence of your invisible man in the sky

1 point

Great. And everything must have a creator, according to you, so...who or what created god?

1 point

The bible says it so it must be true? Why am I having trouble with that one? Perhaps a little more critical thinking on your part might open things up.
