Rules that are ignored in the bible
These are just some of the ludicrous rules/ laws found in the bible (especially found in leviticus), frequently overlooked by many Christians. They may seem weird, but who are we to judge the bible (Aka The Word of God)? So what would you do? Abide by these crazy rules in the bible and make God happy, or completely ignore them and nonchalantly piss God off- or none of the above. Most of these rules have already been broken countless times by many an unknowing Christian, because, who hasn't eaten shrimp or done something else that is seemingly innocuous, which in fact was a direct violation to God? I'm not sure what else to say... yea.... I think thats about it.
Just read some of these...
Leviticus 19:27 Do not cut or shave your hair.
Deuteronomy 17:2-7 Kill anyone with a different religion.
Leviticus 20:27 Wizards, Psychics ect must be stoned to death.
Leviticus 11:9-12 Don't eat shrimp.
Leviticus 19:19 Don't let cattle graze with other kinds of cattle.
Deuteronomy 13:6-10 If anyone, even your own family suggests worshipping another God, kill them.
Deuteronomy 13:12-15 If you find out a city worships a different god, destroy the city and kill all of it's inhabitants... even the animals.
Leviticus 21:17-18 People who have flat noses, or are blind or lame, cannot come to an altar of God.
Leviticus 20:9 If you curseth your mom or dad, You. Must. Die.
Leviticus 19:19 Don't wear clothes made of more than one fabric.
Leviticus 19:19 Don't have a variety of crops in a field.

If you bothered to look into the site's claims, you'd see that they aren't quite right. Leviticus 19:27 Do not cut or shave your hair. Real Verse: Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard. Deuteronomy 17:2-7 Kill anyone with a different religion. Verse is too long to post here, but essentially what it is saying is that those who are Jewish are not to convert to any other religion. Leviticus 20:27 Wizards, Psychics ect must be stoned to death. For this I offer my own translation from the Vulgate: Man or woman in which a pythonic or clairvoyant spirit shall have been, they are to die death by stones, over them their blood may be. It isn't quite saying to kill "wizards [and] psychics", but to kill those who have become possessed by evil spirits. Leviticus 11:9-12 Don't eat shrimp. Verse nine doesn't pertain to the "not eating shrimp" spiel, but the next three verses do. Indeed, not only does it say not to eat shrimp, but also crabs, clams, mussels, and anything else from the sea which hasn't either fins nor scales. Leviticus 19:19 Don't let cattle graze with other kinds of cattle. That is a most ridiculous interpretation of a verse which forbids copulation between animals of different species. Deuteronomy 13:6-10 If anyone, even your own family suggests worshipping another God, kill them. One of the better interpretations of verse from your source, but still not quite right. It has to be done in secret. Deuteronomy 13:12-15 If you find out a city worships a different god, destroy the city and kill all of it's inhabitants... even the animals. Not the animals, the cattle. Leviticus 21:17-18 People who have flat noses, or are blind or lame, cannot come to an altar of God. Another complete misinterpretation of the verse, and a poor reiteration of it, too. The priesthood being confined to one particular family, and entailed upon all the male issue of that family throughout their generations, it was very likely that some or other in after-ages that were born to the priesthood would have natural blemishes and deformities: the honour of the priesthood would not secure them from any of those calamities which are common to men. Leviticus 20:9 If you curseth your mom or dad, You. Must. Die. Pretty much got the gist of that one, though the grammar is off a bit. When conjugated as "curseth," the pronoun "thou" ought be used, for it is of the proper time period. Leviticus 19:19 Don't wear clothes made of more than one fabric. The verse uses "diverso semine", which pretty much means "diverse semen"; it is discussing, once more, sexuality between different species of animal. Leviticus 19:19 Don't have a variety of crops in a field. This is your third time using this verse! The reason it has been misinterpreted is primarily because the translators of the KJV were prudes, and they didn't seem to want to discuss openly the concept of interspecies sexuality. Now that that's over with, I shall remind people of the reason that these verses no longer apply. The laws of the Old Testament were overridden by the death of Christ. None of those laws apply to followers of the Bible, and therefore are not ignored because people don't like 'em, but because they don't matter anymore. 4

Haha, lol, my mistake, some of the verses were just slightly changed and summarized by me. (Poorly, in my case- I am 12 years old- freshly free from indoctrination- and brand new to this site after all) But, you did get the gist of what they meant, yes? Now that that's over with, I shall remind people of the reason that these verses no longer apply. The laws of the Old Testament were overridden by the death of Christ. None of those laws apply to followers of the Bible, and therefore are not ignored because people don't like 'em, but because they don't matter anymore. Jesus was just a scapegoat to protect the Christians from the ludicrous and bizarre rules commanded from their God. Christians are simply manipulating verses, just to make the bible and God suit their needs. Read Luke 16:17 And also, Matthew 5:18-19 where it clearly states (From Jesus) that no law from God must be broken, even till the end of existence. “For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Read also, 2 Peter 20-21 where it says "Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation, for no prophecy ever came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God." “...the scripture cannot be broken.” Jesus Christ, John 10:35 Sorry, this argument this so disputable. I'm a terrible debater, but what can you expect? I'm only 12 :P. Please do not down vote without leaving a reply. It is a sad act of blind and angry disagreement. It would be considered immature that one would lack adding reason to why they would want to ruin someone's account without saying why. Seriously people, do not do this! It is cruel! D: This has to be one of the most commonly rubbish arguments against the Bible there is around, I've met many people who claim that the Bible is nonsense because one verse says something that contradicts modern Christian beliefs or another part of the Bible. However, you've made a rather big blunder in your research, which makes my disputing of your statement a lot easier. You claim that these "rules" are ignored by modern day Christians, however those laws are for Jews as they are in the Old testament. Thus Christians don't have to obey them as the New testament and the teachings of Jesus override these original laws (or something along those lines). I think you'll find that all the "rules" you stated haven't been ignored, you just got the wrong religion. Side: They are for Jews
