Government has been around for centuries and has been helping to organize society ever since. I believe government is necessary for many reasons. The first reason is Government establishes justice and freedom. Government can establish laws and amendments which create organization and give citizens rights. Without rights and Laws it would be very violent and chaotic. There would be no regulation on crime and single persons could take charge. Another reason government is necessary is it provides public welfare and defense. Without our government, we would not have programs such as FEMA, which helps with disaster relief, or medicare which provides health insurance for the retired. IN addition, we would not have a government funded military, and it may not be as strong as it is today. One last reason government is necessary is we would not have a leader chosen fairly. In our government we have a democracy where we can vote on a president by seeing which candidate has the best ideas. This could not occur fairly without government, where most likely a dictator would rise. In conclusion without government society would be very troubled and would be in need of supreme reform.
