As much as I don't love doing homework, it is still a necessary part of an education. I have found that I don't truly understand the concept of what I am learning until after I have done the homework that goes along with it. Had I not done homework questions and practiced equations or writing essays myself, I am sure I would fail every quiz.
Just because a teacher assigns homework does not mean they are a bad teacher. Everyone has different learning styles and may like solving problems a different way than the teacher explained. A student would never be able to know that without trying it for themselves.
Lastly, I would like to ask the creator of this argument what they expect to happen to them when they get a job some day. When you go to work, you go to WORK. Not sit around and absorb whatever is going on like in a classroom. It's only a preparation for your future career, and for life itself. It's not easy and there's no way of getting out of work.
