Well, if those in charge of castrating make as many mistakes as those who put the wrong people away in our prisons and even put them on death row, I wouldn't support it. To think of even one man having that happen who wasn't dangerous to children but was falsely accused or just put in prison by incompetent lawyers or overly zealous prosecutors who care more about winning than justice. I know for a fact this kind of unjust "justice" has happened entirely too much with people who don't have much money, people of color, gays and anyone charged with a sex offense. The sex offender laws are one of the worst over-reactions to a very small number of heinous crimes involving children that this country has ever seen. Drama-driven media, esp.FOX, unscrupulous politicians and corporations that benefit from making our prisons more crowded than Russia and China put together because they profit in some way, i.e. private prisons, surveillance companies, etc.
No, we have too much already that rouses up the hate and mob mentality in this country. Sometimes less is more, quality's better than quantity...when it comes to the sex offender laws, we have bloated registries and way too many of the wrong people on there.
If you are someone who does care about justice, educate yourself and help us in this David-Goliath fight Catching and persecuting people who don't deserve it doesn't help protect our children from those who do. http://www.csom.org/pubs/mythsfacts.html
