Your Favorite Non-PC Game Device?
Of course PC is the master race, but everyone has a favorite console/mobile game system they used. What is yours, and why?

Why is NowASaint so Obnoxious?
This discussion is about NowASaint, not for NowASaint.Note: I do apologize for this thread, but I just had to ask. Also, I am parodying him, so yeah...

In today's world, news is a cutthroat industry, but that shouldn't excuse the yellow journalism and misrepresentation of facts, or just plain out lies. Why should we allow the media to blow everything out of proportion? Things such as police brutality, race relations, the power of the president, squandering global warming into a joke, et-cetera. Are we not entitled to the truth? I know there is freedom of the press, but that is a freedom to publish articles criticizing the government and public officials rather than being allowed to print whatever they like. Much how freedom of speech is only against being arrested for government criticism rather than saying whatever, whenever. This isn't against blogs, or opinion pieces, but rather throwing accusations or unsubstantiated claims. I think this is a fairly simple question, so I'll leave it to y'all.

Why Are Progressive and Liberal Used Interchangeably?
I'm just wondering. While the two are closely related, they are different. Here's a nice article I read about it, and it was pretty clear with the ideas: http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/9140 (Yes, it's Huffington, I know.)A Progressive is a person who believes in the adaptation of the world to improve the human condition. They are in favor of playing hardball to force confrontation with issues of society that need to be changed for the better.Supports welfare to those that are in between jobs and trying to keep a roof over their family's heads, supports helping students with standard loans pay for college, supports government provided healthcare because it helps the person stay out of debt so they can pay their taxes and bills.Perhaps they would create a board of economists to find ways to cut government spending and increase our GDP while cracking down on unnecessary spending.A Liberal is a person who wants equal rights and equal opportunities to all people.Such as everyone being able to get the same job regardless of training and education. Supports welfare to all who need it, everyone needs free college to compete, and supports universal healthcare because not everyone can afford it.Perhaps they would fund a new agency to help deal with out debt. These differences are important to note. I used the same issues in order to highlight the difference in perspective. You can also check the examples in the article provided. I'm just tired of seeing all this "libtard" and "filthy liberal" crap when the idea is progressive based. These words are not interchangeable, but also aren't mutually exclusive.Note: these finding are based on my reading, and this is a perspective debate so we can discuss the differences while trying to answer the titular question.

What Happened to Questioning Society? Why Won't People Stand By Their Opinions?
I've been noticing this a good while now, especially in young adults. Why has questioning why society is the way it is now a bad thing? Has everyone agreed to acquiesce without telling me? When did having an opinion become social taboo? This is why I came to this site; to find people to converse with whom have actual opinions that won't shy away. Self-Assured or opinionated, at least you have individual thought. I am bothered that holding an opinion in the face of adversity is looked down upon. Can't someone think the way they want to think? Why do I need your approval or anyone else's? My thoughts are mine, yours are yours. When did having different opinions become a bad thing in society's eyes?I was raised by parents who lectured to virtue of holding personal opinions, and I'm glad. I look around and I wonder what it'd be like to be my herd-like peers. I imagine it is a rather dull existence.....

Firstly, new face, so hello! I am Bull Moose (reference to party of same name), I like politics and their science, I also enjoy banter, and love to debate. Especially theoretical politics.Secondly, big words, I know; and also a bit confusing for some in this context.Allow me to preface:Progressivism is the push towards social reform. (Whether this is "progressivism" or progressivism is a completely different matter entirely.) Then there is Revolutionism, which is similar to Communism in the requirement of radical overthrowing of a government for the new social order. After which I bring in the anti-Christ of government: Anarchy/Anarchism, which is the abolishment of all government construct and is somewhat seen in Nietzsche's Übermensch (Over/Super-men) philosophy. (Every man strives towards being his own government thus becoming the ultimate individual.) Now, if we saw a progressive saying, "We should dissolve both political parties!" is it reasonable to assume that he is a revolutionist? I believe we can also infer that the public will see this as the breeding of Anarchy! Is this a rational thread for this to follow? I believe so. This is only one example, but could you not say progressivism leads to Revolutionism and Anarchism? Do you think most would say that dissolving the Democratic and Republican parties as a seed of Anarchy? Is it a reasonable thought to think a progressive man of the people would start this track sincerely for the population?I'd like to tag on here that Anarchy, I believe, is the start of reform. How about you?
