Candy's dog should be killed
Write your reasons with a quote cited in MLA explaiaing why Candy’s dog should or should not have been killed. Follow the example provided.. The statement should include yes/no, quote, and explanation of reasons.
You also need to respond to your classmates' ideas on why you disagree and/or agree with their reasons. You will have to respond to at least one opponent's comment and one comment on the same side.
Example: No, Candy’s dog should not have been killed because the reason does not justify the death of an innocent living creature. According to Carlson, Candy should kill his dog because “Slim’s bitch got a litter right now” (Steinbeck 45). Carlson is suggesting that Candy can replace his old dog with a new dog. However, love cannot be replaced. Love is an emotion that takes time to grow.
