so, i play softball, and i'm a catcher, i was even drafted for it. our coach, she plays me almost all the innings as a catcher, which is extremely hard on my knees, sometimes i wake up in the morning and my knees buckle, and i fall flat on my face. in hot weather, with the catchers gear on like 3 innings, i feel like i was put in an oven, literally, and when i ask to have a break for one inning, they say they need me. it gets so bad sometimes, that i can't even swallow, because of lack of water. she almost plays one pitcher a whole game, without letting the other, what, four pitchers pitch at all. sometimes, somebody only plays once, the whole game, or not at all. even if they may be able to play, they get subbed out right away.
the coach expects us to know what to do at a position, when we havn't even played there. she expects me, as a catcher to have all my gear on, FAST. and then the other coach yells at me because i take forever to get my stuff on.
is this unfair or what? is she being harsh? i think she is. she says so herself softball is supposed to be fun, but is it fun when you are over-played, or not played at all? when they yell at you to hurry up? when you have no idea what to do, and the yell at you?
