It does not matter what they "let" them do. Once they are 18 teens can make their own decisions. In some cases parents pay tuitions and give their children spending money when in college have a bit of leverage in their childs decisions, but over all it is not up to them.

Cruelty towards animals (already illegal and enforced)

+Killing and torturing animals is the first sign of a serial killer, so at the very least the person should be forced to have to a psychiatric test

(Enless it's "hunting" because that is completely legal and wont change no matter how much people dont like it)

Yes, if legalized it can be done somewhere clean, quick, and painless BUT it should not be immediate. Whoever submits for "Suicide" (In certain countries they have buildings, like a hospitals, that you go, sign your name and it happens. Thats what i mean by "submit") should have to wait a year before it actually occurs. To ensure there is no sudden decisions and to make sure it is what they really want.

No, because they would just say god made them too. But some christians would be upset

Yes and no, but mostly yes.

No: -it can harm people. BUUUUT...

Yes: -So does alcohol and tobacco(Alcohol mimicks the disorientation and tobacco is the equivalent [if not worse] of the bodily harm to the smoker and lets not forget 2nd hand)

-They should legalize it THEN tax it!

-Cuts down on crime

Personally, Im not going to do drugs or smoke or drink (i think it is stupid to harm your body) BUT are drugs really as bad as they make it out to be? Would the world REALLY go crazy if it was legalized?

I don't see why not. When people make a decision that could put them in jail they dont stop and think "If I go to jail, i wont be able to vote in 2012" so the restriction is not stopping them from commiting crimes. And they are still citizens, sometimes bad ones, but still citizens.

Love, not hate. I don't even have words for this awful "debate" you just made.

Your "biggest defense" ("The Bible even says its wrong") DOES NOT MEAN ANYTHING. I don't care what the bible says, i am not religious. Therefor your "ace in the hole" is nothing. Why can't the religious people in the goverment and you guys understand this??

And about the making babies thing. The world is hidiously over populated. We do not need more babies! Maybe this is God saying "Stop having babies! The world I made you has exceeded its limit!"

It is not good nor bad, it just is. Just because it is good or bad for the society wont change it (some people are born gay, just like some people are born straight, i have witnessed this).

One of the many reasons i put this under yes is because love is love, how can love be bad for society?

BUT, with average day people, it actually helps them make the right choice. For example: WWJD (What would jesus do)

I am someone who does not believe in god. BUT (besides not letting homosexuals marry and fighting pro-choice) religion is very important in society. It teaches people what is right and wrong and persuades them to do the right thing with promises of a better life (or afterlife)

Alot of you are forgeting the "during class" part. The use of cellphones during class is disrespectful, a hinderance, and in some cases dishonest. Children often use texting to cheat and ignore lessons because they find them boring. It disturbs learning and should never be allowed.

*But I do not find cellphone use in the hallways, and before and after school a problem.

No. At schools (Most schools at least) they have a moment of silence after the announcements so students have a moment to pray or, in many cases, not to. In my opinion this is good and follows the seperation of church and state. A school prayer bill, however, does not seperate church in state and should not even be considered.
