She kids under 17 be able to have sex?

I dont thank that kids under 17 should be able to have sex at that age; they could gegt pregnant, have a baby and ruin their whole life. We have our whole life ahead of us including collage , and our daploma , i think people should wait till they get married, settled down, and have a good job to have a kid.

Why not? I'm not an advocate of pedophilia, which is a totally different topic, but if teenagers want to do the deed, let them.

The sooner and less awkwardly you educate them, the better. Sex should be regarded as a natural and intimate thing, as opposed to disgusting or vile, and safe-sex practices deserve to be taught rather than suppressed.

Because then? Then, when people are subject to the consequences of improper practice, you can call them morons. Well. You can already, but there's not nearly enough impact.

Pregnancy has nothing to do with it, as unless they're actually trying for a child or drunk, this is not an outcome 99% of the time. As long as they keep safe, and all that- there is no reason it could affect their career and schooling.

Side: Yes

Should they be able to? Of course they should be able to. Teenagers have hormones, and it's okay to want to explore them. And not all teenagers are irresponsible in the least. You make it sound like having sex automatically means there will be some negative consequence, but in actuality that doesn't have to be true at all.

THEY GET PREGNANT

Again, not a fact 100% of the time.

NO COLLAGE

Even teen mothers can work to get some higher education if they're motivated.

WHO GIVES AF ABOUT HORMONES

The people who have them?

Look, I don't want to have sex either. I just don't think it's so terrible that others my age do.

Depending on what country you are from your opinion will differ i am from the UK where the age of consent is 16, so i see no problem with a 16 year old having sex, when people go on about not being able to get a career, does that mean you should wait untill your mid twenties to be able to have sex when you are most likely to have a secure career?

How do people who are against Kids having sex going to stop them lock them in the cellar? When Kids hit Puberty them become a mass of raging hormones if they decide their going to have sex their going to have sex and unless you lock them up you wont be able to stop them. All you can do is give them sensible advise about contraception and the pitfalls of being sexually active and hope they follow it.

What?? They being who, and what is an H8?

Why, why do we need a restriction on when sex is allowed? This sounds rather biblical to me, I believe you should have the choice to engage with someone if you want to. There is no reason to specifically wait until you're married to have intercourse, unless for religious purposes.

you never know if they have std's, herpies,HIV's,Aids,or any thing else you never know keep your private parts to your self until you and your husband get checked for dieces

Your awful grammar and spelling astounds me. A wise choice would be to have blood tests, and be checked/vaccinated for the diseases, however it is likely if it's both parties' first time, then the chances of contracting a disease (while wearing a condom) will be very little at all. Once again, confused as to what "dieces" is as well.

You're basically offering no real reasons why not to have sex until you're 17, apart from that you should be married (unlikely to happen at 17), religious or disease-wary (which can happen for anyone's first time, under 17 or not). The chances of getting a disease if it's both you and your partner's first time, and you're using protection, is basically none. Apart from religious reasons, there is no real need to tell a kid they can't screw until a certain age. Mind you I don't really agree with anything below 15, but 16 and 15 year olds should have the choice whether or not they want to do this.

Also, please next time read over the title before you post it.

17 or under should NOT be allowed to have sex unless they are married. Even then, they should only do it with their spouse. End of story.

I don't think kids should be able to have sex if they are under 17 because if they get a girl pregnant when 16 or younger they are going to ruin their life and have to drop out of school to take care of the baby and you won't be able to graduate and get a future career that you want. I would wait to have sex after you are married.

That's just something your parents and teachers tell you to frighten you out of having sex.

First off, you can always get an abortion. Then a baby wouldn't be a problem.

But even if you decide to have the baby, I know plenty of people who had children during high school or college and managed to stay in school without too much trouble. Especially if both parents are involved (admittedly it's much harder as a single parent) it's fairly easy to stay in school and have a kid. I mean, if older parents can have kids and work 9-5 jobs, what's to say students couldn't have kids while going to school 8-2? It's less overall time away from the kid if you have the child while you're in school as opposed to in the work force. When grown ups have children are they fired from their jobs? No? Then why do you think that a student having a kid means they must drop out?

And look at me. I've had sex with plenty of girls (I'm out of college now, but a lot of my sleeping around happened in high school and college), and never once gotten one pregnant, let alone had a kid. Why? Because I use readily accessible, easy-to-use birth control: condoms. And I generally sleep with girls who are also on some form of birth control, primarily the pill. And I don't always ejaculate inside a girl. And most of the girls I sleep with would be willing to get an abortion if they did get pregnant. My point is there's a whole bunch of things you can do to make the statistical probability of getting a girl pregnant less likely than getting struck by lightning. So possible pregnancy (like STDs) isn't really even an issue in premarital sex if you take all the necessary precautions.

It's like you're trying to argue nobody should go outside because they might get struck by lightning; the scenario you're warning us about is highly unlikely so long as you do things properly. Fucking a girl who is not on birth control without a condom and then ejaculating inside her and being surprised when she gets pregnant is like standing on top of a mountain in the middle of a thunderstorm holding a metal flagpole and then being surprised when you get struck by lightning; you really have to deliberately set up all the variables against you in order for the action to fuck you up.

My parents and teachers don't frighten me about sex because to me its a part of how we reproduce and if we want to raise a family. I will have sex when after I am married.

Plus I don't need to get lectured by you and I know when I am going to have and you won't change my mind on this issue so trying to persuade me is useless if that's what your trying to do.

First off, you can always get an abortion. Then a baby wouldn't be a problem.

Its not good to have an abortion because your basically killing the baby that is living and your destroying life and I believe life is precious and I feel sorry for all of the millions of babies that got aborted because the mom didn't want to have the kid.

Good for you, you had sex with multiple partners and you haven't made one pregnant and haven't gotten an STD. And if the girl you got pregnant did have a baby and she decided to abort it then why have sex in the first place? And also a condom doesn't always work from protection of STD's you can still get an STD. The only 100% protection from STD's is abstinence.

It's like you're trying to argue nobody should go outside because they might get struck by lightning; the scenario you're warning us about is highly unlikely so long as you do things properly. I wasn't trying to argue about this issue I was only stating my opinion about this issue but you have to put your two sense worth in and tell a story that I could care less about and write 2x the amount that I did so you could think I would get it into my head but its not going into my head its going out of my head and into the forget list where I don't need your advice because I have plenty of advice from my parent's who are older than you and have more experience in the world than you have.

accidents happen. not all the time, i concede, but between someone who's under the age of 17, and those above the age of 17, those over the age of 17 will be able to handle the pressure of deciding whether or not to keep the child, and will be able to make a wiser decision for both themselves and the child. consider this, who will be able to cope with the stress better? granted that not everybody above the age of 17 will be able to make better informed decisions, but compared to someone who is, for example, 14, in most instances, the elder will be able to make a smarter choice.

Side: No

I don`t think it is wise enough to do so since there may be accidents that could happen in the intercourse. It also increases the rate of the distribution of AIDS. It also shades the path of the young into a brighter future if they accidentally start a problem. Pills and abortion is detrimental to one`s health so it is not practical. Condoms have a high percentage of failure, so it is risky.

But then again, it is up to them if they will let it happen.
