Waffles are great! You can put all sorts of things on waffles like cream, syrup, strawberries etc. This makes waffles highly customizable. You can try different types of waffles and decide which type you like best. We all know that variety is good. Pancakes are a different story. The only pancake I've ever seen are crepes and the pancakes with maple syrup with a dollop of butter on top. I don't see anyone put different things into their pancakes unlike waffles. This is why I think that waffles are better than pancakes. Side: Waffles

Waffles for the win! You have more options with waffles, because you can do anything you could do with a pancake and more! You can bake chocolate chips or blueberries in, or put jelly or something on the top. Also, if you buy them from the store in those boxes, you can get those little pictures on them. Waffles win. From seriouseats.com: Thick heart-shaped bittersweet double-chocolate waffles sensually topped with crunchy caramelized bananas. . . orange-almond-cumin waffles ladled with a rich heady creamy curried quail. . . oh! She loved his lemon thyme waffles luxurious with the fresh lobster claws holding hands on top, dotted with jewel-like aromatics in that pink vodka sauce. . . or the seven-grain waffle sandwich stuffed with Greek salad drizzled with biting tahini sauce. . .ah! There, those dreamy rosewater–peach waffles were dancing by her, twirling in the air with divine insouciance as she watched, the two round smiling matching curves of strawberry sorbet and lemon gelato glistening on top as they shimmered by in the night. So much waffle-y bliss! Pancakes have nothing on this. Side: Waffles

Pancakes are the bomb. I demand you add this image to the debate to make it fair at least. Side: Pancakes

Pancakes are great! You can do almost anything with pancakes. What you can't do with pancakes, you can do with crepes, which pretty much count as pancakes. The only thing you can't do with pancakes that you can do with waffles, is combine them with fried chicken. I don't understand why you combine fried chicken and waffles, but maybe you can do it with pancakes, too... Side: Pancakes

Meh, what's with your American pancakes? Pancakes are supposed to be thin and have a radius of at least 13cm. http://wanderlustinaction.blogspot.co. Side: Pancakes
