What's wrong with saying "radical islam"?
It is an euphemism for Islamic filth. A spade should always be called a spade, or in this case, Islamic filth should be described with precise accuracy as Islamic filth so everyone can be aware of the danger it represents. We are now entering the long awaited WW3, only this war is not against a nation nor an alliance of nations, but against the Islamic filth. 2

It implies that the people using Islam as a guise for their terrorist ideologies are actually practising a form of Islam termed 'radical'. This offends Muslims mainly because they wish to correct you on the fact that these terrorists are not practising Islam of any form but are in fact lying about practising it to justify their actions. Religious belief is entirely subjective and no one person or group can prove that their interpretation is more accurate than any other interpretation of that same faith. Radical Muslims are still Muslims even if a majority of Muslims disagree with their understanding of Islam. The same would hold true of Christians, Buddhists, etc. Exactly! Saying "radical Muslim" is no worse than saying "radical Christian". One is as dangerous as the other. The only things any more dangerous is a "radical conservative" or a "radical liberal", (especially if they are "radically religious"). The world could use more moderates in BOTH religion AND politics! Tugger is back and Hellno is back...hmmmm I'm sensing that it makes them sound EXTREME but the Isalms do not believe that they are EXTREME but quite laid back and it is Americans who are extreme. Americans constantly burn up the resources at alarming rates, rates that are much higher than any other place in the world. If they do not stop this madness then they will be the ones responsible for sending the whole world into poverty in the near future. 1

Nothing, you should say things as they are. Islamic terrorism IS Islamic terrorism, any way you put it. That would be the same for radical Christianity, or Judaism, or any other religion. But the fact of the matter is that the majority of modern terror is Islamic. Regardless it's a war of ideologies, when you convince people things like that are okay, or that they need to appease some divine dictator, bad shit happens. 1

But the fact of the matter is that the majority of modern terror is Islamic. http://www.loonwatch.com/2010/01/ So no, it isn't. American media would have you think that, however. 1

I won't claim to be in a position to dispute your statistics (I'll look into the credulity later.) But this isn't exactly an argument against calling radical Islam radical Islam. Also out of curiosity what definition of terrorism is this going by? If its using the FBI definition you may as well throw it away, that would be wayy too vague, if its using something else I'd like to know what it is. |
