I think there should be a bit more regulation. Especially to prevent guns getting into the hands of gang members and stuff like that. In LA there are too many gang members with guns, and as a result more murders. Guns should be only kept for protection only. Guns are really fun, yes, I agree. Guns are needed for protection, and there's no ifs, ands, or buts about it.
The Bible is a religious book, not a math or science book. Nowhere in the Bible does it say 245+2=247 nor that mushrooms are a fungus. The writers of the Bible wrote only about what they knew. It's like Bush when he invaded Iraq, he only worked on what he knew at the time. Don't forget that much of the Bible is written in metaphors. Almost all the writers of the Bible knew little of science, except for maybe Luke, because he was a doctor. Even then, his knowledge of science was very limited... People have trouble thinking like this, I doubt I'll change any minds, but thats my input.
They find offense to it because they feel it only has one meaning, if they were informed to any other meanings then they might not take as much offense. That's what makes them un-informed. If they knew it had another meaning and still took offense to it, then yeah, they might be ignorant.
Either socialism or fascism. Socialism because people are tired of being taken advantage of by corporations. Or fascism because some are extremely ignorant to the fact that they are being taken advantage of. I would honestly prefer socialism.
Many deserve to be called out on their lies (especially), corruption, and influence by corporations trying to get richer. I wouldn't save them because they must face what they've brought onto themselves. That's why people need to wise up to these facts, then call the politicians out on it.
I'm not gonna say he was a puppet, he was a really strong president... But I cannot agree with his de-regulation of the banks, maybe in that way, he was a puppet of the banks. His de-regulations started us on the way to financial prosperity (for only the already wealthy) and then to the financial disparity (for those who weren't wealthy). Once when he opened the stock exchange, he was talking about Merril Lynch whose logo is a bull. He said "It is time to let the bull loose!" He was right, the bull was let loose and it bucked so much that it led us on the way to eventual financial ruin.
This argument is a bit unfair, because both sides would be biased, I know I'm a bit biased. People should be allowed to believe in whatever they want. They can believe in Pastafarianism (look that up) for all I care, but it doesn't give others the right to to say that their religion is better than someone else's, or that their's is right.
Who really is Allah really? Who is this god who demands his followers kill innocent people via Jihad, and who demands Muslims kill Muslims who no longer believing in Islam? The Qur'an says that Allah desires to lead people astray (Surah 6:39 , 126). He does not help those who are led astray by him (Surah 30:29), and Allah desires to use them to populate hell (Surah 32:13).
Its like here in CA, (in a way) term limits for governors were put in after the resignation of the gov. Jerry Brown. The (new) term limits law doesn't apply to him for that fact. That's why now he is running again for governor. A law is a law, not a pardon.
A government that rewards the laziness of the rich (for they have so much money they dont have to work), and allows the lower classes to die in the gutter for lack of money to buy food or clothing, will always be supported by the rich. (Exactly the way it is now)
It is fair, especially because a lot of times executives are "born"
into a specific class that will allow only them to get to high positions in corporations. Many executives aren't rich because they got there on their own. They've had a long line of wealth in their families that was able to trickle down to them. Many high payed executives don't work often either! Most of their "work time" is spent on stays in other countries! People deserve an equal opportunity at becoming wealthy, an opportunity they don't already have.
I don't think that they are smart for choosing Islam, but that is my own opinion. They may be smart for other reasons, but it depends on the individual. There are idiots in all religions, and there are smart people in all of them too (maybe not in the case of the Westboro Baptist Church). I seriously believe it depends on the person, whichever religion they feel offers them the proper road to salvation is what they should choose. Yes, there might be material gains, but everyone has to chance to gain those regardless of religion.
If you take a look at Western Europe, you see some of the healthiest, happiest, and friendliest people on the planet. Not only that, but they are quite wealthy (ex: their countries' currency is worth much more than the dollar). Europe is socialist, which is a liberal form of gov't. If they were locked up and free of influence from the US, they would be a lot happier because we are a drag on their economy.
