SUPER STUPID have you heard of the Biden Rule ? You Leftist lack facts !

Feb. 22, 2016

WASHINGTON — As a senator more than two decades ago, Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. argued that President George Bush should delay filling a Supreme Court vacancy, should one arise, until the presidential election was over, and that it was “essential” that the Senate refuse to confirm a nominee to the court until then.

Mr. Biden’s words, though uttered long ago, are a direct contradiction to President Obama’s position in the battle over naming a successor to Justice Antonin Scalia.

It may be Vice President Joseph R. Biden who dooms President Obama’s hopes of reshaping the Supreme Court and picking a replacement for the late Justice Antonin Scalia after Republicans unearthed a 1992 speech in which then-Sen. Biden said it was “not fair” to let a lame-duck president make such an important decision.

Mr. Biden, who was chairman of the Judiciary Committee at the time, was laying down a marker against President George H.W. Bush, saying once the “political season” had started, the president should back down and wait until after the election.

Mr. Biden went so far as to say that Mr. Bush shouldn’t even bother to nominate anyone, much less have the Senate approve the pick — exactly the stance Republicans are now taking toward Mr. Obama.

At the time of Biden's 1992 speech there were no vacancies — though there were whispers about retirements. But in the event that one emerged, Biden urged Bush to follow the “majority of his predecessors” and not nominate a justice during the campaign. He added that Senate Judiciary Committee — which Biden was chairman of at the time — should not hold confirmation hearings if a nominee was sent up.

Dear Trash;

That's the difference. YOU don't HAVE to "wonder", you KNOW (but won't admit to YOURSELVES), that YOUR party is trash. Many of your most notable conservatives "trash" your party every day on what YOU call "fake news networks" because they can't stand to mingle with the "TRASH" that have "taken over" the once "GOP"! Lincoln MUST be appalled!!!!
