Holy @#&%, just when I thought unions were a thing of the past...
I was shocked to hear American Airlines passenger service agents were voting to unionize. While I am not completely against the concepts of unions, I really can't believe there is any sort of movement to unionization with what just happened to hostess!

Hostess didn't liquidate because of their Union strike, they liquidated because their executives shoved their pockets full of raises worth hundreds of millions of dollars. QQ, let them unionize. It's not going to stop the corporate higher ups from brainwashing people with propaganda to make outsiders believe it's all the evil union's fault that they don't have enough money to stay afloat. Side: To unionize
Hostess didn't liquidate because of their Union strike, they liquidated because their executives shoved their pockets full of raises worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Both were drains on their profits; the fact that you attribute the bankruptcy to one source over the other implies the execs had a less legitimate claim to the company's assets than the bakers did. Why would that be? Side: Not to unionize

Unions are essentially legitimized gangs. Much of my extended family works with AA, and I'd rather not see them get pushed around for standing up for their beliefs. The collectivist mob mentality is dangerous to those it envelops as well as those outside its influence. Side: Not to unionize

I actually like most unions, however I am against the teachers union who has screwed up our education system and the AMA (basically the doctors union) that lobby for laws to make them more profit. You know, AMA lobbied for a law to make it illegal to be medically hydrated at home even if it is by a nurse or hospis worker? Yup, that's right, so when your grandparents aren't doing to well they have to go to a disease ridden hospital. Again, I have no problem with unions doing reasonable stuff, but when the horse and buggy union tried to make cars illegal... well, that's going to far. Side: Not to unionize
