How does God reveal Himself?
Muslims and Christians alike claim to preserve the faith of Abraham. Both claim to have their prophets and their writings which have accurately preserved the revelation of God or Allah. But what does each mean by this word 'revelation'? All of us who seek to worship the One True God, agree that God must reveal Himself to us. We cannot discover Him by our own efforts but need Him to reveal Himself. But how does God reveal Himself?
Since we may not be seeing a revelation anytime soon, (because despite all the "signs," we are actually more better off than in the past- not to mention how Jesus never returns for our great great great great great grand parents, and how he may never return for us) what would happen when the revelation arrives? In some time in the future, lazer guns would of already replaced bullet, and swords would be forgotten, ancient weapons. This leaves to question, what weapons would they use in the War of Apocalypse? Would they use swords (as mentioned in the bible) way before our time? Or would they use lazer guns, and make things seem cheesy? And what of Jesus? Would he still be wearing a primitive, white robe? If what the bible says was a reality, the world may seem a little undermined, and much lower than it could be. :P God reveals Himself through creation No one escapes this revelation. we have a wonderful description of revelation through creation. Those who teach us the Word of God may fail and falter and lose our confidence. Our own lives may become so squandered in sin that we forget that we were forgiven of our own sins. The historians may rewrite history so as to try to discredit the eyewitness accounts of Peter, Paul, James, John and hundreds of other. They cannot, however, blot out the sun. 2
