as many of the others said, it should be up to the yong people to believe and we shouldnt enforceit on them.

but hat doesnt mean we cant show them the door. i run several youth groups for my church and its been amazing just running these groups we have young people from both christian and nonchristian families. each week we have a short 5 minute talk on the bible and then we split into groups and just chat, chat about the talk, chat about howthey are just about anyhthing. and its been great they all seem to be really interested in god. and weve had a few people come to faith, which has been amazing.

Well, that's more like it... I might even get interested when it's put that way.

Why try to get young kids interested in religion? Let them decide on their own on their own beliefs in time, don't doctrinate a particular religion on someone of young age, they are easily impressionable and it's an unfair way of pushing your own beliefs on them. They'll decide what they want to believe in in due time.

It's not permanent. A person can only listen to rap for so long and then they get over it and switch over to pop ;)

if you don't want kids to be indoctrinated then you have to stop them watching tv reading magazines because this is what they read and believe if the dolly magazine says your fat then they believe they are fat and so on ain't nothing wrong with teaching peace or shall we let video games bring them up so he decided to become a gang member now your going to tell me i should of taught my son

you can find a way to make them interested. when children are growing, they need a role model. as a parents adults have to bring them up with moral rules of society. i think that religion is the best and the easiest way to bring child up, as a good person. religion gives child idea about what is good and bad. they can't decide by themselves, because they don't understand yet. we have to give them knowledge about religion.

How does knowledge about religion impart morality? What did the Israelites do before God gave them the 10 Commandments?

Side: Wait..., what? No!

This is how I get them interested: "Hey kid!!! Get interested in God or burn in Hell!"

Telling people that they will suffer eternal torture for not sharing your beliefs is a form of psychological assault, and should be outlawed and ridiculed like other hate speech.
