A resource-based economy is a society without money, barter or trade, with the awareness that Humanity should act as one united civilization and where technology, science and philosophy is used to it’s fullest to develop and manage the planet’s resources to provide abundance for everyone in the most sustainable way. The continual emergence of a system of self imposed management of human and natural resources both locally and globally where money, trading and ownership is replaced by gratitude, sharing and usership in a way where everyone’s needs are met.

The way it is defined, yes, it is a kind of economic utopianism. Will it ever happen in real life the way it is defined? I don't think so. Heck, even in a small family it's extremely rare for all resources to be fully shared and for everyone to be pulling their weight to take care of the collective family. Side: Yes
