Junk food should be banned in public places.

Everyone should think twice before deciding to eat fast food. There are many health risks when it comes to eating food that's made within a matter of seconds. The food is not properly taking care of, which leads all the way back to where the food is originally produced. even if it easy to buy and cheap, the health risks outweight the 5 minutes of satisfaction that fast food brings. One should carefully think before they eat fast food. Kindly, give your opinions and arguments?

Just like almost everything, junk food in excess is harmful. Does that mean we should ban everything in public places? Of course not, that would be silly.

In moderation it's fine, so no, it should not be banned.

The minimum argument length is 50 characters. The purpose of this restriction is to cut down on the amount of dumb jokes, so we can keep the quality of debate and discourse as high as possible.

Maybe their should just be a limit on how much you can purchase.

That would be dumb. If you're eating junk food everyday, then you probably aren't very healthy... but the same could be said if you eat nothing but salads everyday.

Why is the government reasponsible for your personal choices? It's not even like drugs it's just food.

Personally I am a super skinny person but eat like I am fat. This does not mean I don't eat healthy foods I just eat a lot of food. If I couldn't eat junk food in public then most people couldn't on the go or just eat outside their house. I eat most of my healthy food in my breakfast and dinner but the lunch that I eat is normally sandwich, soda, chips, and pudding. My lunch is normally eaten in a public place so what now I cant eat lunch.

In actuality, there's no difference between drugs and food, because they are both just substances that create chemical reactions within the human body. Even some foods(particularly junk foods) can cause negative chemical reactions just as the drugs cause negative chemical reactions within the human apparatus.

So why can't the government have equal control over junk food products as well, as a means to protect their citizens from harming themselves?
