"Am I proud to be an American during this 2016 election?" Yes and No. I have reasons for both. I am not proud of Americans. Because if evolution has any validity, it would show proven as a science of declining, de-evolving, full circle of the rise and fall of mankind, as we evolve to be dense fools! God created perfect balance. The fall put in the law of entropy decaying the heart and soul of mankind. God made man to stand upright in His image, but man's constant descent is proving to be a never-ending fall. I can't believe how unreasonable people have become. So, Im not proud of that. The greatness of America was people side by side, not overtaking each other. We corrected from within. Win win negotiations with fairness in the middle. As a people we respected each others freedooms and rights more than everywhere else in the world. America began with everyone working together and building communities. We were great because each individual's rights and boundaries were considered. The American idea or world view managed that individually according to the golden rule. When we had to, we fought for rights and corrected wrongs. We fought, won fairly, and we actually fought FOR fairness. But today, American rights are shoot, grab, and run! The WORLD VIEW changed! This is not America. So, I am not proud today to be an American. But I am proud of individuals who are still American. So in that way I am proud to be an American. Here is an interesting thing I noticed. Christianity that built us is attacked in our society. An assault these days on faith, disloyalty for I think the first time ever toward Israel also. From attacking the Bible, even discussions on changing its content. Sounds like we are entering the dark ages all over again. Lies in fields of academia about the Bible, even its reliability in its historic content. Equally so America is persecuted by her own children and people of other nations demand our heritage yet burn our flag in our own streets! And our children, America, joins them. Not proud to be an American, eh? Well, as a combat veteran, I can tell you two things.... ONE: I personally am VERY proud to be an American. Sure, our country has its problems, as do all Nations, But we are still the best. By far. TWO: Last I checked, there are hundreds of flights leaving this country every day. Also passenger liners, as well as roads leading out of the country. Feel free to utilize any of these modes of exodus from our great land if you dislike this place so much. SS No I'm not proud today. I am proud of who we were, but I'm ashamed of who we have become. Im watching America go down in flames. And Im watching it from life experience. We aren't who we were, and its actually mournful. We had unique sovereignty and we lead the world. We are not any different anymore. We are now socialists steered as a society by and for the will of the government. We were for and by the people. They make orchestrate the flute and the instruments and play people and groups like a rigged deck of cards. Every pillar of our American principles of freedom of Americans in a self governing society that made us different has been abd is being pulled down from within. We have declined to look more like a violent 3rd world country than free Americans. To self govern the populous must be above all be able to reason with fair as the objective. No people can self govern if they travel in packs and use violence force and threats to overtake the rights of others, and call their win goal of fairness. "My choice candidate/party for president of a country founded by immigrants is a racist who hates immigrants, and because my candidate/party are racist towards immigrants, they always vote for the other party!" How dare they vote for the party that cares about them. How dare they. Also are Cubans not Latinos? And the majority of Latinos Hispanic? From my understanding Cubans are from Latin America, and Latin Americans mainly have ancestry to Spain/Portugal? |
