No

I drove as a teenager, 17 or 18, i think. You are probably thinking of 14 or 15. I'll let my kids get some illegal riding if i see how responsible and smart they are. And it would be in a private open area, not the highway.

How could you allow to your children to drive a car?? Driving needs a lot of responsibility, which is teenagers do not have. Teenagers think that driving is a kind of game: they would drive very fast or would not follow the rules. The next one is problem with traffic and pollution. Most of citizens want to prevent traffic jams or air pollution and how should they do it if it would be more and more cars on the road? I am sure that the number of children death will extremely increase. There are public transport which can all of us use to get to school.Teenagers will have a lot of time in future to drive, work and etc and there is no need to brake the rules for driving.

I don't see why not? Unless if they keep getting distracted from their electronics or texting and driving and if the teenager is responsible.

Yes teens should be able to drive because that is the age when you get a part time job and they need to be able to drive to school and work.

I think parents should not allow their teenage children drive a car, because driving a car is a bih responsibility not only for your life but also for everyone who is on road. i think at age of 14-15 they don't think about danger and safety, for they it's just for fun.

If teenagers know driving laws and rules well it doesn't mean they understand all responsibilities that they get while driving. They will have time to drive themselves, but in age of 14-15 it's much better to wait until adult age. Also they have another kind of thinking at this age, and their psycology isn't so persuasive. The roads are unpredictable, except teens there are a lot of uneducated drivers. For higher safety parents shouldn't allow their teen children to drive.

There are enough problems in the world at the moment, enough if someone younger than the current age did pass their test why go to all of the extra effort?

So many teenagers have killed people and crashed cars I think 18 is a good age to drive I don't want a stupid kid crashing into me becuase there on a cell phone or not paying attention at that age most are not adult enough to b driving I know I wasn't at that age

Teenagers should not drive until they are at least 16 years old. In my point of view, in an earlier age teens can't control any type of vehicle properly as adult people do. They are careless and don't pay much attention to the serious things. And driving a car IS A SERIOUS thing. Because nowadays, we can be witnesses of many car crashes and accidents happening on the roads. So that's why we can't let children drive until they reach the proper age. According to www.drivesteady.com, "Teen drivers are 10 times more likely to be involved in a crash during their first year of driving. 20% of reported accidents involving teen drivers. 16-year-olds have more accidents than any other age group – including older teens". There are also many other facts, which show us that teenagers should not drive. At least, they have to be more careful on the roads.

Its not age, its experience, it doesn't matter if a new driver is 16 or 46, there going to be inexperienced and not very good, its better they learn how to drive at an earlier age when they have a parent, sibling or class to teach them how to drive. And as for public transportation, there is almost no public transportation in suburbs/rural areas so you can't just take the bus or a cab so if a teen can't drive and can't get a ride then they can't get a job... And most teens don't take "driving as a game"

Side: Yes

Teens are too young to drive. The age should be raised to 21. They will be more mature at that age.
