The humiliation of the United Kingdom.

The Prime Minister of New Zealand, with a population of around 5 million has had to point out to the broken down Brits their mistakes in the initial handling of the Chinese Disease pandemic.
The bumbling Brits stood in front of their silly little pulpits spewing out a load of meaningless information in their 'cultured accents' and all the while 1000s were dying unnecessarily as a direct result of ineptness.

Due to the extent, and the apparently out of control nature of the covid-19 pandemic in Britain the rest of Europe have excluded the U.K., from their Air Bridge' which enables E.U., citizens to travel between member states without being quarantined.

All that their shit-head politicians had to do was learn from history and recognize that the Germans are their superiors and follow their lead.

Obviously, there are a LOT of people around that will attack ANY democratic country. That do not say much against any authoritarian country ... and even defend them. On the other hand, they try to tell U.S. how America should be run, how Americans should act, how some parts of the Constitution should be followed ... and when. Some of these people even call themselves "Americans"! WEIRD! Humiliating! :-(

Really, they should find their own country where they can be happy ... and let us democracy lovers suffer on our own. ;-)

Hi AlofRi, I couldn't agree more.

You know America was sending men to the moon while the Brits were still traveling by steam engine.

The long defunct British Empire is still causing significant trouble throughout the world but still they try to lecture other nations on their lack of morals.

Man, man oh man.

Don't misunderstand me. My last boss was a Brit. I had tears in my eyes when I heard he was leaving. I chose this section because I NEVER would have commented under the other choice. WE NEVER should have "followed Germany". We worked for a large German company, I knew about 50 Germans, I felt I could really trust about 6. That's not that I have anything against the German people in general, but, I found when you work for them and they think you did something that might make them look bad, however unintentional, watch your back.

I refused dinner with the company President once. He knew I didn't like him. I got up and walked out on my direct boss once after he talked about how bad American Engineers were ... left him with the check ;-). No, I didn't choose this side because I think Brits are "humiliating" or have a lack of morals.

You seem to be the one doing the lecturing about morals. I don't see any Brits doing it, just you.

In fact I notice you do this an awful lot. You'll do something and in the actual same sentence (or at least the same paragraph) you'll accuse somebody else of doing it. I imagine it's why most people think you're a prick. Well, that and the fact you openly hate people who aren't white.

"Oh," said America, their people dying left and right, "Let's go watch three people fly into space." In doing so, none of the thousands of people watching those lucky ones escape the pandemic had enough sense to even pretend to wear a mask.

Fact;- In 1940 the Germans kicked the Brits out of Europe with the greatest of ease.

It wasn't until the Yanks weighed in and the German war machine was significantly depleted in Russia that the the U.K., forces were able to return to Europe.

The Germans graphically illustrated their ability to out class the Brits in military conflict and their efficient use of America's post war Marshall Plan displayed how they also won the peace.

Which part of that well documented history did the Brits fail to understand?

The misguided patriotism of the political elite in the U.K., has cost British citizens dearly.

God only knows what will happen to them now that they're outside the tariff free trading zone of thew E.U.
