Maybe God hopes for us to solve our problems as a race by ourselves. Maybe the Devil is responsible for all of the calamities that occur on Earth. The Devil could be the one causing problems, hoping that we will lose faith after all like you said no God would let the world be as terrible. Perhaps God doesn't intervene because he has faith in us, he believes that we will persevere through the hardships and end up overcoming them. Also I really like how polite you were near the end, a little rude during it though.

God wanted to test us as a species, he knew we would eventually reach a point in our existence where oil would become a necessity. By putting them in these areas he hopes that we will be able to overcome our differences and work toward a better way of living with eachother

No of course not, almost every story in the Bible defies logic. I think that these stories were written to have more symbolic messages. Any evidence known is either false or a hopeful theory. However, to me, this doesn't mean God doesn't exist

I agree with you in many of the points you make, however in asking for evidence, at least for Christians, I believe the Bible counts

I would be okay with it as long as hes no more extreme about it than past presidents, for instance I don't want to be forced to pray in school. Of course this will not happen for probably 100 years or so
