To all the theists out there: prove to me that your god exists. Here's your chance to prove all the little atheists and non-believers wrong. Give me some proof. I wanna see absolute, irrefutable, undeniable, irresistable proof that your all powerful god person exists. Please.
I've seen so many arguments that have been down-voted for seemingly no reason. I think if you want to down-vote an argument, you have to explain why. I mean come on, a simple "that's offensive" would even suffice.
Please read the whole thing. It's shorter than it looks.
Let me tell you a story. There are two best freinds that are awesome together. All the same interests, same crazy personality, same everything pretty much. One day, the one friend (me) stays over at the other's house, another is over too. The two spending the night keep the other one up all night (by accident). The next morning, she's super mad and we apologize. You know, the typical "Sorry for keeping you up. We were having fun."
So anyway, after we both leave, she forgives that other friend but is still uber mad at me for some reason. I have to beg for her forgivness and finally, we're okay (though she still was a little cold towards me.) I then get a tentative invitation to her party.
At said party, a few of my other friends and I agree that it would be fun to walk down to the cemetary near her house. It was my understanding that the necessary people were informed that we were leaving. Apperantly, I was wrong.
When we get back, she's pissed...really pissed. She kicks me out of the party and I'm the only one she's mad at. After once again begging for forgiveness, she agrees to let me stay. She seemed fine with me being there and everything. Then when I leave, she refused to hug me and gave me a cold stare as I walked away.
Now she and I are no longer freinds. I'm willing to repair the relationship and get on with our lives but she insists on holding a grudge so I'd rather not bother.
The worst part about this is that we have the same friends. They are probably going to get together and do something for Halloween and she says that it's her thing and I can't come. Just because some of them are meeting at her house doesn't make it her thing, does it? Someone even came up to me today and told me not to come because it was "her thing." I simply laughed and walked away.
So, after reading this, who do you believe is at fault here? I don't really care about being right, I just don't think I did anything wrong and she's being a baby about the whole thing. Opinions?
Every culture has created some form of higher being(s) that created us. They are all quite similar, especially in ancient cultures. If all these societies believe that /something/ is out there, then it has to be true, right? What is this all-powerful being? Is there perhaps more than one?
What do you believe created us? Look at what YOU think, not your religion (if you have one).
What is good and what is evil? Who decides which is which? What is good to one person may be evil to another. So do good and evil actually exist, or is it all perception?
