Exactly.
With contraception and abortion being legal, woman are not obliged to get pregnant as a result of sex. It is their choice as to whether this occurs or not. A woman's body is ultimately hers. However, she should not be allowed to bind a man with obligation through a choice of hers.
Who put her in that state?
Who drank the substance?
Was she forced to drink a substance that could make her more likely to sleep around?
Rape is a violent act, if she agrees to it while drunk and doesn't have bruises and there wasn't a struggle, it was not rape.
No human has the right to using another person's body against their will. The same can be said about a fetus after 12 weeks of pregnancy. If it is in the woman, and she does not want it to grow in her, she has a RIGHT to have it taken out. It is her body.
Not murder, just removal. If God wants the child to survive, he'll find a way regardless of the fetus's removal.
I agree, in addition to this, I think a woman should have a choice of what grows in her body at all times. For example, if she had a parasite, isn't it reasonable for her to take medication to get rid of it?
I do not think pregnancy is that much different. A fetus shares a lot in common with a parasite.
No.
Here is why, if it is purely the choice of the woman whether to keep a child or not, then men shouldn't be responsible for child support. That isn't fair.
If a woman can kill the child or keep it, as a choice, men shouldn't be responsible for child support if they have no say.
If woman do not have a say, and it is illegal to kill children, then men are responsible for child support.
If the man promised to support the baby as it was conceived or during the pregnancy, then it is the man's responsibility to support it.
If the man has responsibility due to an abortion occurring or not, then they should have a say. If they do not, then they should be freed of all consequences.
However, if the woman does not want the baby then it is her choice. If a man does not want the baby, then he shouldn't have to pay child support unless he promised her this in order to have sex with her.
