Yet, Shep weaves his way through the rabid ideologues, and manages to speak the truth. Chris Wallace goes after Trump all the time. He's the opposite of an ideologue. I just watched Smith do the worst case of mental gymnastics I have ever seen. His logic was as follows. Smith: Trump created the environment that caused this. Wallace: You can't blame Trump for someone else's violence. Smith: That's not what I did. I only said he created the environment that caused the violence. He starts at point A, then circles around saying he didn't start at point A while referencing point A, then ends back at point A. I'm starting to realize why you are a lib. Side: We are not nuts
As much as someone on here wants to claim it, I'm not a lib, but I can see what Smith was saying. By not coming out and condemning white supremacists last year he created an environment where hatred against Jews was and is seen by some as acceptable. That's not saying he put the gun in that guys hand nor is it saying he is directly responsible for someone else's violence. The responsibility is the murderer's. But when Trump is harsher against the media then he is white supremacists spouting hatred....yeah...he helps to create an environment like what we have now. Side: Does
