I think it should, except in cases of them getting waivers for driving to work if they have to. I also think the drinking age should be raised to 25. And I think a drunk driving offense within the kid's first three years of having a license should result in LOSS of driving privileges for 5 years. A speeding ticket under the age of 30 should also result in a hefty fine and no driving for a year. Side: for
I think it should, except in cases of them getting waivers for driving to work if they have to. So, you admit that it is ridiculous for most people to raise the age. Why change it at all? You never gave us the why. A speeding ticket under the age of 30 should also result in a hefty fine and no driving for a year. Good thing you aren't in charge. Do you never exceed the speed limit at all? Side: against

That would thoroughly "F" parents who then would have a whole lot more chauffeuring duties to do stretching deep into college. There's just not enough public transit throughout the USA for millions of college students to get to/from all the places they need to go. Frankly, I do believe the drinking age, voting age, driving age, conscription age, all should match. It's ridiculous that you're an adult in one category but still not an adult in another. Set one age and make it stick. Side: against
