I am pissed at Obama not because the shutdown will affect my family, but because people say lawmakers don't lose their pay...while that is true, Obama Care is why the shutdown is happening, and it has the same issue. All lawmakers including numero uno the President himself are exempt from Obama Care. So The president doesn't have to move to the exchanges, get poor health care and pay penalties? WTF is that all about?

This is what I say...If Obama can't live with his own rules, then maybe he shouldn't be president!

My mother works for the state, I am not sure if this will effect her but I think it might, I remember back in when we had the last shut down, I remember her telling me she wasn't getting paid, and when they did pay her after the shutdown was over, they paid her back pay but here is the kicker, they taxed the shit out of her check so in the end she lost money.

I remember when this happen I was like 15-16 years old, as a matter of fact I think we got our cable and a few other things cut off because of this. I'll ask her tomorrow for more details, this sucks balls for people that are caught in the middle of this political war.

It didn't need to happen, Congress and the Presidency are just holding each other at fiscal gunpoint until one of them gives in. Why is it that the branches of the U.S government can't collaborate with each other like civilised people?
