Kids become adults at 21
Based on different passages I read with my class, we're having a debate on when adolescents become adults. The passage "What the Brain Says about Maturity" says there isn't a set timetable for the child brain to become an adult. I believe there is and along with other passages that believe age has a lot to do with the way your become mature. At 21 you're seen as mature so you're talked to as an adult. While, 16 year olds aren't at the adult marker of 18 yet so how can they be an adult if they aren't even treated or seen as one?
