You don't understand how life happened? God.You don't understand why life is complex? God.There are gaps in your knowledge of physics? God.And so on, ad infinitum. Since there is no actual evidence for God, creationists seize upon the gaps in present knowledge (i.e. ignorance) and use them as an argument that whatever we don't yet know must be because of God. But what we don't know is shrinking all the time. Sooner or later God is not going to have anywhere left to hide.
We was taught our whole entire life that You cant cant cant live Free from sin... I believe You can live free from sin.... Everyone isn't Perfect Like on this Earth... You gonna Go through sorrow and pain.... But Gonna Through Suffering can you live free From sin... Yes You can live free From sin.... You Dont have to Have sex without being married... Its a Choice.... Its Just up to us To Say No Or Yes
Young Millennials of the early 90's- Present View of Church and Religion
I personally am a 23 year old Millennial struggling for acceptance and a stronger relationship with God. But the question is, why are there so many people my age and younger and in their early 30's not going to church as much and not caring to get a stronger relationship with God? I am aware of the many articles that there are about such conclusions and topics, but there really is never a answer that can help me or someone else understand why this has happened to this modernized generation. It is also a personal struggle for everyone not just Millennials. It is for everyone at any age. The question stays pending. You can go to a church, with an amazing preacher that is humble and preaching so hard he breaks a sweat, and then you feel a pull at your heart. A pull that is wanting you to go to that altar and be truly saved. But alot of us do not act upon that feeling due to being afraid of letting go and crying in front of church peers. Why is that way? Why are we wanting acceptance from our church peers? When the whole purpose of going to church is to learn and build a relationship with God. There is the keyword, " acceptance''. Funny how that one word we all have wanted at several points in our lives. To be accepted by the popular group of kids in school. To be accepted as who you are. To be accepted at work by your peers. To be accepted at church by peers. Even accepted by our own families. Why is that so? Why is that such a determining factor for us? Shouldn't the term '' acceptance'', be used in a better way? Shouldn't acceptance be used for accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior? For it also being used by accepting that life, work, how we are, who we are, who are families are, is what it is? Another funny thing is, we all know the correct way to use acceptance but fail to do so. What about the strong need for a stronger relationship with God? We all can say we know Jesus died on the cross for us, and paid with his life for our sins so we could have everlasting life. And he did not have to give up his life at all. But loved us all so much, but we were so cruel and not thankful in return. But, we still don't try or attempt hard enough to build that relationship. We just shun him away, and say to everyone for show that we do have a strong relationship with God. But why do we do that? Why not be honest? Why not tell the truth and state, no i do not have a strong relationship with God, i am a sinner, and need Gods help and guidance and the church for help. Why is that so hard? Many believe from what i have read and studied in my lifetime, is the reason why, is because we are ashamed and afraid. Their is so much wrong in this world, so much evil, so many different sins we all commit daily. We view ourselves as unworthy, not worth saving because we continue to do wrong and sin, so what is the point? Also something else i read that sent a chill down my spine is because we believe he has abandoned us? It is a strong statement, but ,many believe so. Because of all the bad in the world and how it continues to get worse. How many say, where are the miracles? The signs? The love of God? Many want a huge miracle that they can see. For instance, the ones in the bible. Such as the parting of the Red Seas for Moses, Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead, the falling of Jericho. Funny thing is, if something again happened like that again, no one would believe it, and would want to say it is because of science or a natural disaster. Or even worse case scenario, ignore it in general. We want big miracles like that, but yet would say and think the things i just stated above. Truth is, everyday miracles happen. I have been told and shown many times in my life small miracles that opened my eyes. But many ignore these, why? Why do that? Many ask what are these small miracles in life? Some say it is the true unconditional love you have with your spouse, significant other. That it is the closet thing to heaven and Gods love there is. Others say it is the undying love for a mother and her child. There is several different statements that people say that are miracles. Personally my miracles are having undying love from my family and signifcant other. By always having what i truly need in life and being able to have another morning to wake up and be alive and well. There is no wrong miracle. Miracles come in many different ways. But for people that deny miracles happen,, what about the fact they wake up every morning alive? That entirely is a miracle happening to every single living thing on this earth. But yet, many still believe God abandoned them. Why? For these reasons that i have stated that people fail to establish a stronger relationship with God, why do so, so many struggle with the right way for acceptance and a stonger relationship with God?
Religious people often speak about choosing to accept God into one's heart, but is this really a choice? Is whether or not someone believes dependent on things they can't help, like the way their brain is built, the environment they were brought up in,knowledge, or indoctrination, or is there an element of choice? This could also extend to a free will debate, if your mind is set to work a certain way, then you are set to respond to things a certain way, you have no say in the mind you are born with, so perhaps you have no free will, just an illusion. If the correct answer is no, belief is not a choice, then surely this has ramifications for certain things... If there is a God, surely he couldn't blame atheists for not believing in him?Edit: I didn't intend for this to be an argument about indoctrination, I meant for it to be about free will in the way that Galen Strawson theorizes. Your mind is set a certain way, so perhaps your beliefs (and actions) are too, only being affected by other circumstances you cannot control.
I'm not saying that religion is a mental disorder just that it acts like one. Religion is unreasonable and it is defended against all reason. It falls under what constitutes a delusion. de·lu·siondəˈlo͞oZHənnounan idiosyncratic belief or impression that is firmly maintained despite being contradicted by what is generally accepted as reality or rational argument, typically a symptom of mental disorder."the delusion of being watched"
This debate is limited to the confines of Christianity. The affirmative side argues that there is a god who is capable of, and actively influences the lives of humans. The negative team argues that no such higher power exists.
If clergy were honest, would religions die?
I do not think so. Based on the fact, some clergy are
maintaining religions based on telling the truth and have stopped lying to
their adherents. Knowing this, I wonder why the clergy of all supernaturally based
religions continue to lie to their adherents.
In the more honest distant past, those who sought God; did
so at a more intellectual level than most do today. The ancients admitted that
nothing concrete could be known about God. God was said to be unknowable,
unfathomable and worked in mysterious ways and that no attributes could be
applied to God.
Today, the idol worshiping religions, like Christianity and
Islam, have given what they still claim is an unknowable, unfathomable and
mysterious God, with kinds of attributes; which of course are human attributes
taken to the maximum of the impossible and delusional supernatural.
Some religions seem to be returning to the more intelligent
thinking of the ancients.
Would the idol worshiping religions like Christianity and
Islam, be well served if their clergy returned to telling the truth of what
they can know of God, or are the clergy serving their religions better by
continuing to lie to their adherents?
Some atheists think because they were born in christian families, they knew it all, and salvation was their birth right that they now choose too abandon. Read what happened to the sons of a **chief priest**19 While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples 2 and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when[a] you believed?”They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”3 So Paul asked, “Then what baptism did you receive?”“John’s baptism,” they replied.4 Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.” 5 On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues[b] and prophesied. 7 There were about twelve men in all.8 Paul entered the synagogue and spoke boldly there for three months, arguing persuasively about the kingdom of God. 9 But some of them became obstinate; they refused to believe and publicly maligned the Way. So Paul left them. He took the disciples with him and had discussions daily in the lecture hall of Tyrannus. 10 This went on for two years, so that all the Jews and Greeks who lived in the province of Asia heard the word of the Lord.11 God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.13 Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” **14 Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15 One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” 16 Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.**Which former christian now atheist thinks he was better than those seven sons of a chief priest. How did you **serve** .And could any demon have identified you whenever you used the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to pray and command?or would have demons pounced on you for using Jesus's name to intimidate them. Were you worthy or unfit?
Our ancestors from 10's or 100's of thousands of years ago looked upon nature itself as mysterious without answers. They were likely fearful of floods, thunder, lightning and other natural occurrences that they did not understand. Thus they likely attributed it to something unworldly.Throughout the centuries these fears were brought forth in tribes and groups of people throughout the world.Through ignorance at that time they created icons such as totem poles, tikis and idols ,etc to show respect to nature itself,so to speak.I believe at that time there were no moral codes to follow or guilt associated with these belief systems thus they were harmless. In a way it was the people created a god in their own image,or in other words an alter ego system. If one seen the movie "Castaway" with Tom Hanks,it shows him creating an imaginary figure with the volleyball calling it Wilson, not much different than a tropical island native would do.In reality people that are atheists are just as moral as so called religionists. One has a right to believe what they want or do not want. What I have learned is that positive thinking is sort of like a prayer, without the beliefs system that there is a god.In this way the accomplishment is going to the individual, the only real person that created that accomplishment not an other worldly entity.Religions are basically organizations that contain people that people join together as a group of common minded people. In these religions there are members that do not really practise at all, others are moderates, and others zealots.Spiritualism is based on finding oneself, thus free of expectations of others, and spiritualists do not say they believe in a creator, but seek inner peace.Since history is marred with religious conflicts and still are, maybe it is time to start believing in the human race and unity and being free of religious beliefs .
Should Sharia Supporters be kicked out of Europe and the US?
Islam has been spreading rapidly throughout the western world with many of them not wanting to conform to the laws of that country and change it to Sharia. Most Europeans are getting tired of this and with the increase of terror attacks it has made me question if this belief supported by others and is it fair. Islam has been destroying culture that was built over thousands of years and is raping countries of welfare money and resources to House them. They also have no interest in conforming to these countries norms. Happy Debating!
