five words for you-SEPARATION OF RELIGION AND STATE
you cannot make it illegal for gays to marry just because your precious bible says so. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But not everybody likes your opinion.
And your opinion can't be made into law.
Sorry little religious angel!
The separation of church and state is not evident at all in the idea that gay marriage should be illegal. People who are religious are trying to inflict their beliefs that gays are automatically sinners just because they happen to like their same sex onto everyone else, including children. We fought a deadly civil war in order to make it so our children won't grow up to be prejudiced against people who don't look the same as us. Should we really discriminate against people who are the same as us but just like their same gender romantically?
Homework, if anything, has NEGATIVE results in schoolchildren. Studies show that countries with less homework (China, Japan) have better than countries with more homework (Iran, Greece). Also, children hate homework so they associate homework with learning and will not learn all the way to their full potential. This is the next generation people! Plus; Homework does not require the teacher, it requires parents to help their kids. If a parent tells their kid the wrong thing to do (lets face it. they will) kids will get used to doing the wrong thing.
Homework=Bad
No. You know what needs to be tested? Creationism. It has absolutely NO scientific evidence that proves it. According to it, some possibly non-existing being snapped his fingers and created the world. On the other hand, evolution, THE SCIENCE BEING TAUGHT IN SCHOOLS, has countless pieces of evidence supporting the idea that current man is descended from apes.
I find this VERY biased to call people who support abortion are horrible. Tell me this, if a 12 year old is raped then gets pregnant (lets call her Lucy), should she have to keep this baby in THIS economy? Or if a college student is violated while she is just "having some fun" with friends, then should she have her newborn sitting inside the classrooms, maybe even getting kicked out of college and ruining her life?
You called me strait! GREAT JOB WITH THE INSULTS! Who doesn't want a boyfriend like Edward? You probably do! also, I am allowed to be in "make believe land" because, guess what; I AM 11 AND IN SIXTH GRADE! Yeah, 'honey', you have been dissed by an 11 year old girl.
Yes, we were evolved from apes. The "missing link" or so it is called, is NOT really missing. Hominids, from Homo erectus to Homo sapiens, the scientific proof is everywhere. The "church" belief that God created everything in a week is almost impossible. I would LOVE to see ONE person give me proof that what I am saying is not true. If the "church" belief was as likely as some people want it to be, why aren't they teaching it in schools? I am a sixth grader in San Diego, CA, and I just finished a social studies unit ALL on hominids. The proof is all there, believe it people!
First of all, this question is biased. You are leaning against little 6 year olds to whom Santa is their greatest idol. Second, he is VERY creepy.
1-He breaks in to your house at night.
2-He eats YOUR cookies and milk
3-He is fat and can somehow come down a chimmney at night
4-He watches you every minute of every day, EVEN WHEN YOU ARE NAKED
5-He has lived for 1,000's of years and doesn't have any medical issues
Personally, I am Jewish. I believe in God and I respect the idea of other religions. But, according to the Constitution of the United States Of America, we have the right to freedom of religion. If schools taught Christianity, they would be forcing a religion down children's throats. Many Americans are not religious so it may not be a part of daily life. All Americans CHOOSE to have a religion and practice it. To say Christianity is the "holiest" religion is just biased.
Jacob's abs are impressive, but Edward's everlasting love for her is and should be the winner. Sure, he left her, but it killed him to lie about the reason. He was willing to hurt himself insanely just to protect her. Jacob threatened to kill himself if Bella didn't kiss him in Eclipse which is just plain out wrong. He is a friend and nothing more in Bella's mind until Jacob deludes her into thinking she loves him. Edward kills 2 of the vampires trying to kill Bella intentionally while Jacob kills one just because it was on his land. That one vampire (the dude with dreadlocks in the movie, forgot the name) was the only nice vampire in James's coven. He had warned the Cullens and Bella about James and was a vegetarian vampire for almost a year prior to getting killed by Jacob.
War is not good. It kills billions of people. People with families, people with kids, people with lives! People who die, leaving it all behind. How could any sane person belive that war is for the best? Maybe a suicidal soldier, but that would mean killing even more people than yourself! The hippies were right; love, not war. War is just a stupid, idiotic way to "solve problems" that doesnt even solve problems! It makes them worse! In the words of just about any teacher: fight with words, not fists. That applies to guns as well! War doesn't solve conflicts, it creates them.
We have some kind of reflex in our brain that reacts to how people look. We would probably buy from the attractive girl. On the other hand, lets say that we were not selling candy. If those two girls go to school together and there was a test. The unattractive girl gets an A+, while the pretty girl gets a C+. This is a entirly different story. The unattractive girl might not be good with looks, but she is better where it counts; in smarts.
