It was a horrible thing for a Jew to be barred from entering the temple to give their sacrifices, they became outcasts, shunned, unemployable.......the Jewish leaders killed Jesus because He threatened their control over their religion....He threatened their source of income. Jewish historians would write what they were told to write, they would not write what they were told not to right. The whole situation having been unable to keep the body of Jesus for proof that He was not God was an embarrassment and they didn't want it recorded. All of Jesus's followers were Jewish. Those who knew He is God the Savior and risen from the dead wrote the true historical account, passed it along verbally and in writing in spite of brutal torture and executions at the hands of Jewish religious leaders given freedom to persecute the Christians under Roman law. The passed the word along, it could not be stopped, and they wrote it down. Eyewitness accounts, Bob. Christian historians writing as commanded by God the word of God telling the good news of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Are you really so mind numbed that you can't look at the facts of history?

The reality of the person of Jesus Christ has never been questioned until recently by intellectually dishonest people who get away with twisting facts because we have a mind numbed lazy brained generation who are eager to believe anything they read which claims to be true as long as it supports their bias against God.

The debate about Jesus Christ, ever since He started preaching which got Him in trouble with Jewish religious leaders for naming their sins publicly, has been about His claims of being equal with God. It was those claims which the Jewish religious leaders used as their excuse for wanting Him killed, and it has been those claims historically which are debated, not the reality of Him walking the earth in Judea under the Roman Empire 2000 yrs ago. The reason those claims are still published today is that He rose from the dead and told His followers to spread the good news throughout the world and they did, gladly, and no threats of torture or persecution by the Romans could stop them. The word and the message have been preserved and passed along and Jesus's followers today are hated the same as they hated Jesus when they killed Him. I get nothing but hate for saying God loves us and proves it in Jesus Christ, I get no reward on Earth for doing what I am doing here, and I pray God will give me the grace to keep doing it no matter how strongly and violently I may be hated. In America my rights to freedom of speech and religion allow me to go without physical persecution, but that is changing rapidly.

You dislike Christian zealotry and you would cheer if they crucified me...not hating me of course, just cheering to see a Christian zealot put to the test to see if they can be forced to renounce their Savior......and if they can't be forced to renounce, well, they said they are sure they are going to heaven so you did them a favor anyways.

Jesus gained his fame by the miracles he did. It was the miracles which gained followers. There are always people around seeming to have healing powers with people flocking to them. I don't pay much attention to them. The biggest crowds recorded for Jesus were around 15.000 people. Many people were offended by some things He said and quit following Him. After He was crucified and rose from the dead, suddenly his disciples who feared being turned in by Jews as rebels against Rome for having sought to have Jesus for their King instead of Caesar (the threat used by the Jews to force Pilate into allowing them to crucify Jesus, saying it was unlawful to have any king other than Caesar) became fearless in spreading the good news that Jesus had conquered death and is alive and all who believe on Him and receive Him as their Savior will be forgiven and have eternal life. The persecution of Christians was carried out by Jewish religious leaders under license of Rome, whose historians paid no more attention to the issue than I give attention to the modern day healers. It was a Jewish problem and the Romans allowed the Jews to handle it, and they killed Christians as quickly as they could. The Romans generally did not care and were not interested, though some of the events could not be ignored by Roman historians and the movement of Christianity forced some notice by Roman Historians. It is Christians who kept the record of their faith, and the history of Christians, and the written word of God as given by Jesus Christ for the New Testament. It was kinda hard to put it all down in book form and make a lot of copies when they were being burned at the stake and thrown to the lions.

Use some common sense logic. It's not hard to figure out. Christ is risen from the dead, and this is a fact. The record has been kept and passed along at the cost of the life blood of believers and can never be stopped because Jesus conquered death and His followers cannot be denied their place in eternal life with Him, through Him, and for Him.

People who say believing on Jesus is faith and not facts are people who are not looking at the facts.

Who cares about Neptune or Venus? Who cares if they are real or not? Is Dickens trying to kill them the way he's trying to kill God? No. The only thing Dickens cares about is killing God who is Jesus Christ. Duckins is a murderer at heart.

Jesus' ministry was in Judea, in the temples and towns of the Jews. The crowds who followed Him were Jews. He was not noticed by the whole world because He was a Jew and He was sent by God to the Jews. They did not have television to broadcast his speeches around the world. Some of the Romans heard of his miracles and some came to see him, but those were few. For the most part, Romans and gentiles were on the outside and not interested in Jewish events. They generally watched from a distance. You have to be aware of the culture of the Jews and how they operated under the Roman Empire.

My faith is based on facts. You are not listening. You won't get the facts from people who hate the truth. The twelve men, minus Judas who was replaced by Paul, who followed Jesus and say His miracles and the crowds who followed and saw the miracles made Jesus famous in Judea. After He was crucified, all his followers were disappointed as they thought He was the Messiah and would set up the Kingdom of Israel to bless the whole world. They all ran in fear of the Jews, in fear of being killed the same as Jesus was killed for not following the Jewish religious leaders. After Jesus rose from the dead and proved He is alive, His disciples could not be stopped from spreading the good news......and they were persecuted, tortured and killed for 300 years before Catholicism started and gave SOME rest. Real Christians did not join and conform to Catholicism and they were persecuted by the Roman Catholic Church throughout the dark ages and beyond for two or three hundred more years.

Why are people so dense like you so they can't see common sense and figure things out for themselves?
