Who is leading the country right now? No one is seems! George Bush isn't contributing ( not that I want him too) and Obama is waiting to make an orderly transition. But we need help now! Ole George should just include Obama in everything now and defer to him. Side: We need Obama now!
I was going to ignore this whole thing until I read the words "nothing except creating horrible laws" let me enlighten you. The President is the Chief Executive...he EXECUTES the laws, the President does not "create" laws, he enforces them. He can make suggestions to Congress and he can veto a bill that he considers either a) unenforceable or b) should not be enforced for whatever reason. He cannot, however, create new laws without Congress' approval. Likewise the President cannot change laws, he has no legislative powers except in the possible case of the veto which is not technically legislative in nature. The President has a great deal of power in how laws are enforced or how relations with other countries proceed, but has no power what so ever in the law making process. While I detest the man, we can only have one President at a time and from now until the 20th of January, we're pretty much stuck. Bush has things to wrap up and Obama needs time to gear up...which he is doing at an extraordinary pace. I believe he'll be set to go on day one! I saw a great cartoon the other day here on line where President-elect Obama was leaning on George Bush's chair in the oval office. Obama was tapping his foot while Bush glanced over his left shoulder in fear and shame! I have the photo but cannot post it here! Side: There is only one president.

Common sense would make me happy. None of the last few presidents have had any. Yeah, I'm just a miserable wretch waiting for a true leader, not settling for the choices we've been given at the voting booth. See, that's why I homeschool. I don't settle for what's just given to us. I have higher standards. Another Reagan would be nice. Yeah, that would make me happy. Side: There is only one president.

I am not a fan of Dubya by any means. I was very ashamed of my country when he was voted into office again. That being said, it could set a very bad precedent to shove Georgie boy out to let President-Elect Obama take office early. There is not a pressing need to have our current President leave office early. Granted, he isn't really doing much (not that he ever did) but he has already done all the damage he can. I don't think there is a justification to kick George and Laura out a few weeks early. Side: There is only one president.

It just goes to show you how many people, combined with the media's continual pounding on the matter, could actually have that idea! I really don't think it speaks to the fact that Obama appealed to them. Some just don't realize the way things progress here. Side: There is only one president.
Throughout history we have had Presidents that do not live up to our expectations. We have had terrible Presidents and great Presidents. However we only have 1 President at a time. If George Bush resigned Barack Obama would still not be the first choice Dick Cheney would be. It is time to pump the brakes and wait until Obama is sworn in and then we will see if he is even worthy of the post. Remember he is a Chicago Politician and has accomplished absolutely nothing in his short time as a Senator except he did help Blagojevich get reelected in 06. Side: There is only one president.
What does it matter? This country is bankrupt and has been for a long time. Every president since FDR has contributed to that problem (except Reagan...he was fairly decent). Obama doesn't have a clue or the experience. Yes, yes, I know Bush and Clinton didn't help it either. How can we forget how Clinton let Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac get out of control. Bush's unbelievable drug plan. We should have sent him packing back to the ranch then. And, poor Obama, he's just inheriting this awful thing. So, if he makes it worse, it's just everyone's fault but his. Poor baby. One last thing, can we have 24 hours notice if Obama starts early, I'd like to pull what's left of my 401k out before Obama policies completely tank the market and global economy. And, hey George, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Side: There is only one president.
Damn, you don't even want to give Obama a chance, even after the last 8 years of what's amounted to probably the worst presidency in history. And Clinton presided over the single longest period of economic growth in U.S. history, with the lowest unemployment, and the highest standard of living. Makes me wonder what exactly would make you happy... Side: We need Obama now!

So far David, if you click on her profile and read what's there, the answer would be.....NOTHING! There is a debate up about Homeschooling children...I think she homeschools hers. All I can do is roll my eyes. I might add that Clinton handed Bush an excess of money, which the Texas Tornado also squandered. Side: There is only one president.
Well, Clinton may have been some giant economic whiz cough, but he also gave far too much classified technology to the Chinese. Another Reagan would make me happy. And, no, I don't have to give Obama a chance. He's not qualified. He's in way over his head. Side: There is only one president.
