When does it become greed?

At what point does it officially become "greed"?  When you want more than you need?  When enough is not enough? Other?

Yes, and also when you steeple your fingers and chuckle or laugh about getting more of it.

I try very hard not to want more than I need but when it comes to mashed potato's or pasta, well.....I always want way more than I need ;D

In an attempt to answer you seriously though, I think everyone always wants more than they need at some point in their life. I think it becomes greed when you use any means necessary to obtain it.

good point....."when you use any means necessary"....i think that's a great point to call it "greed". I, do agree, we do want more than we need many times, and it's not necessarily a bad thing...at least not until it's ridiculously more.

When you want something you don't really need at the expense of someone else. The problem is that people are really good at justifying their actions.

For example, the owners of a billion/million dollar business that exploits workers/people. Like the people who own and run Apple. ;)

That is very subjective; what one feels they need vs what others think you need can vary greatly. I would rather decide what I want/need rather than let others decide for me. If they think I'm greedy, boo hoo, baby. It's probably resentment based, so eat your hearts out.

this is a good point that I would say as well....it's hard to say what constitutes as 'enough' and my idea of what is enough versus what someone else thinks is enough for me could be drastically different.

When what you want is more important than others, and when what you want is never enough.

We all want more than we need. That's not greed.

The Louisiana flood victims, just lost everything, look at some of those people, wouldn't you want to be like them?

Smiling and caring for others anyway, laughing and having joy anyway? That's what true faith brings, and the greedy, well they just stay on vacation and play golf, Obama!

And excuse themselves from visiting "for fear the victims, would not appreciate them bringing a media stampede!"

Such a nice little stupid excuse! Instead Hillary hangs out with celebrities!

What leadership! And those in darkness can't even see the wolf, they can't discern the difference at all! It's getting pitch black dark out there!

Um uh, yeah, BUT wouldn't bringing the media to the flood victims be welcomed, couldn't the added media attention help them??

Oh that's right, silly me, media is for THEIR OWN SELFISH agenda.

To promote and twist truth for them, they know how to use media big time! Just not how to use it properly as a tool in effective leadership strategy, full of integrity and honor!

Hmm, clear vision anyone?

That's the difference between being selfish and greedy.

In contrast to those who use the world and its goods for their life time here, But who visibly by their beautiful sweet fruit have greater hearts than the selfish hearts of the greedy!
