Why should people who don't speak English be allowed to vote? If they can't understand the language of the new country they chose to live in, how can the understand the issues and make an intelligent decision in the voting booth? If you rely on translation, something is always lost. If you rely on one side or the other in the political spectrum to tell you what's what, there will always be a bias. So, the upshot: if you don't what to take the time to learn the language of your new chosen country, you shouldn't have a say-so in the voting booth.That was easy.
Why should people who don't pay taxes be allowed to vote? They're not contributing members of society and are usually a net negative because they are on some kind of welfare and, therefore, are a drag on the economy. They should only be able to vote if the pay something to the state, local or federal government. Fair is fair, we don't want any deadbeats in the voting booths.
If you are in a crowded elevator or in a room full of people and fart, do you have a moral obligation to take credit for it, or do you allow the "cloud of suspicion" hang over everyone? The assumption here is that it was an SBD (silent but deadly) and not a trucker's mating call, you know, ones that rattles walls. Obviously, with the former, no one knows, the later, there is no doubt. Do you have the duty to warn those around you or do you let them perish? Do you take credit for it, or do you take the 5th?

You've heard it for years from the left; that requiring ID at the voting booth is tantamount to voter suppression; that voters are being disenfranchised and denied their right to have their voices heard; that it is discriminatory, racist etc. ad nauseum. Nevermind the fact that ID is required in virtually every facet of life from driving a car, opening up a bank account, cashing a check and even entering a Federal building like the DOJ, the very organization that currently champions the right of the alleged disenfranchised.
