some will say dont punish death with death but just the fact that criminals who commit horrendous crimes can continue to even breathe the same air as us is a crime in itself. i believe terrorists should face the death penalty and child rapists should face the death penalty. i do 100% believe these people do not deserve to live after committing such acts. it should be a penalty that criminals are so scared of that they won't commit a crime to start with.
hello im an atheist and i believe that yes, god can stand alone without religion. i do believe there'd be no religion had there not been some sort of whateva you religious people think god is. a superior being blah blah blah doesn't matter much to me. point is, no i dont think god needs religion to stand.
i agree. there are so many overweight children and adults because of junk food. people will say some just dont have self control but how can you when huge bags of chips come for 3$ and you can get brownies, cookies, little cakes and the works for under 1$
i dont believe abortion is bad. anti abortion people will go on and on with repeating that it's taking a human life which makes no sense because a fetus's heart doesn't even start beating until 4-6 weeks into the pregnancy. even then abortions obviously wouldn't be happening if science said fetus's were alive at the time of their extraction
i believe religion is some attempt at an explanation for shiz that makes no sense... other than that as an atheist i lean towards scientific explanations and agree with your statement, even if your usage of literally may not be 100% correct
sometimes a teacher's classroom is where we feel the most safe.. not all teachers are rude either. im not a student who gets particularly close or friendly with teachers and i think it's 100% not needed to have a "safe space" from teachers. we have lunch among other things so
if you got back into history you will see time upon time again of whites pushing their religion and beliefs onto other cultures because they believed they were superior. When Europe invaded African and forced them to covert while trying to ban some of their religious activities. Europeans came into America and had some of the indians convert too. But these days, i dont see people acting all righteous and like their superior to others. i believe those days are clearly written in textbooks about our past though
This is a little extreme dont you think? Yes the jewish people and african people went through great ordeals of hate and mistreatment that stemmed from racism, but you're comparing things that should not be compared. Granite, yes, the white man did kill african american's openly and easily, and they were lynched and didn't have rights for a while, but the white man in America is not hitler. Hitler believed in one supreme race and killed millions upon millions of jewish people for that belief. He had them put in gas chambers, burned them, killed them- just because they were jewish. Things were rough here for african americans but the white man did not go to such extremes to try and completely rid of them. hitler's acts are way too extreme to compare to the treatment of african americans in the old days. there's a point where you have to ask yourself what the point of harboring such hatred does for you. hate is ugly and disgusting and ultimately the seed of great destruction.
While science can explain, or try to explain, many many things there are some that just don't make sense. Where did the very first living organism come from and how it was created is huge. We might've evolved from monkeys, cool, but that seems a little far fetched as it is itself. Monkeys are far far far away from being able to speak and do the things we humans do. There are just a lot of things that don't make sense even if science tries to explain it
That is a little too much. I'm an atheist and seeing a religious poster in school would tick me off a bit, so for a religious person to see a poster encouraging atheism or promoting it at the least would be very offensive. It's okay to not have the same beliefs and live different lifestyles, but you cross a line when you start disrespecting people's beliefs
