Ronald Reagan by far. He strengthened our foreign policy through showing force and glorifying the base of the country, the American people. He strengthened the military, too. He also led us through a recession by the best way to do so - CUT TAXES AND CUT SPENDING! He realized that, although effective at the time, FDR's tactics of moving through economic uncertainty would hurt the US in the future, so he came up with his own, much more effective and long-lasting solution.

What people like you don't get is that people who are legally married to a member of the same sex usually want to adopt. The child of the couple is going to be hurt mentally because it is healthy for a child to grow up in a household with one mom and one dad. The mom and the dad each contribute something to how the child acts and feels. Without either a mom or a dad the child is mentally hurt because they do not have that influence. I am not saying the child is mentally retarded, but it is much more healthy to have one mom and one dad. I sometimes will say that I support the right to marry but not to adopt.

My problem with that statement, though, is that the bible makes references where it says that a marrige is to be strictly between only one man and one woman. My stance on the issue is that I am somewhere between no tolerance and some to little tolerance.

The Olympics have not been brought to the midwest since the 1900's. It is long overdue, and what better city to do it! With one of the top skylines, views, food, people, places, entertainment, diversity, Chicago is the place to be. Although the home of Barack Obama, Chicago is still a great city.

"Liberty and justice for all."

The American Pledge of Allegiance chose those words as it's last and most final words. America cannot afford to be compassionate toward those who have committed crimes against it.

The law is the law. All human beings must abide by it. Very simple.

Nader is a joke. However, I will not say too much bad about him because he helps steal votes from the Democrats.

Absolutely Mitt Romney. He is the perfect man for the job! He has strong buisness experience and a proven record. He has managed a company in Boston, where he was very successful. When he was the Governor of Massachusettes he cut pork and cut their state's defeceit. Mitt Romney would fix our economy like he did in Massachusettes.

I am currently reading Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. It is the prequel to The Da Vinci Code and so far is very good. I am only about 60 pages through, but it looks like it is going to get very interesting.

It is an action book about the battles between Religion and Science. It is a about the murder of a scientist that was trying to fairly mix the two together.

I like books with these kinds of story plots. It looks like it will be very good.

God gives us everything, and for us not to take time to thank him for it is unthinkable. It is very ignorant to deny that religion is fiction. Why did people take so much time and effort to record happenings in the Bible or Koran?

Religion gives hope to people who are in great need, and God helps those people. Let us thank God for all he has done for us.

Absolutely not correct. People like to blame the President for things that he didn't do, and this is exactly it.

I am a conservative Republican and I tend to disagree with gay marrige. I believe a marrige is between a man and a woman.

However, I am tolerant of gays. I am fine with a relationship between gays and I do not believe that homosexuals should be persecuted, I just do not believe that gay marrige should be recognized by the state.

My opinion on homosexuals adopting children is a bit more intense, though. I believe that if a child is raised by any two couple that do not consist of a single man and a single woman then they will not develop the emotions or skills that they would with heterosexual parents. Our moms give us emotions and our dads teach us toughness. Without a mom and a dad these things are missing.

Do you want him to resign just so that the Dems will not lose political points?

"So you want a corrupt official to stay in office just so the republicans can gain some political points?"

Yes, I do because he will not be making any decisions once under trial.

I have a follow up question: Do you want him to resign just so the Democrats won't lose any more political points?

How is it possible to say that liberals do not focus more on the negative side?

It was Barack Obama (a.k.a. "The Savior") that told a little girl that America isn't like it once was. I heard McCain saying that we can make America what it once was! There is a big difference, and it is time we start to see that.

That's a great video! Merry Christmas!!!

Bush is a bad President. I will give you that. He has done horrible things to our economy, been lazy on immigration, and not been active enough on challenging abortion issues.

However, the Dems are taking it out of proportion. He is not the worst ever. What about your own: Jimmy Carter? LBJ? Bill Clinton? Do the Democrats ever challenge members of their own party?

People are taking this way out of control. This is a speech from a guy that Obama has been friends with for a long time. The one time a liberal tries to reach accross the aisle, and aqll the other liberals are up in arms.

C'mon guys, have some common sense. I thought the Dems were the party of tolerance? Be tolerant of those with other views. Take it easy. If McCain had won and picked someone who was a pastor but was for gay marrige, I'd be fine with it. Reach accross the aisle, guys.

"Why can't we be friends?"

"Liberals see hard work...and get scared. D:"

Haha nice. However, I do know some very hard-working liberals, but that was funny.

Well if you have a bumper sticker that says "God Bless America" then obviously you love America...riiiight

I am not sure why the liberal side is winning. Conservatives look at the positives of America, while conservatives the negative.

When you see someone sitting for the national anthem or burning a flag, ask them if they are a con or lib. I'd be interested in that response: I bet ithey'd be liberal.

What? Nailed the Texan? I am not a Texan. I am an Illinois Republican and proud of it. The IL GOP is in a fight with Blagojevich and the Dems right now and were putting up a fight against the majority to get a special election.

Liberals always oppose conservatives more than favor themselves.

I have met a liberal and I am sure he has, too. There are many of them and I am friends with many, I just disagree with them.

Patriotism is two things:

1. Patriotism is loving your country even when it is going through tough times. Even if you are not happy with the decisions your country is making, you must stand by it.

2. Challenging your country when you believe it is making mistakes. You must be active, write to your public officials, get your cause known. Challenge your officials to listen to the people.

Patriotism is loving your country, but also questioning it's decisions.

If you watch TV, read the newspaper, or search the internet, you've seen it's conservatives. There are always stories of leftist groups burning flags, shouting swears at Bush, wearing offensive t-shirts, and, of course, displaying hateful bumper stickers.

Conservatives have been the ones standing up for America. Conservatives want America to win in Iraq. It was at John McCain and Sarah Palin's rallies that the people were chanting "USA! USA!" and the leftist groups wearing pink that were storming the RNC, only to hear chants of "USA!" from the conservative crowd.

Clearly the Conservatives are the ones who love America through the thick and thin.

I disagree. Cats are great to play with. My cat runs around a lot and plays with me.

I like dogs, but cats are better. My cat is so nice, the perfect cat in the world. She rarely does anything wrong. She is really nice to sit down and pet and "cuddle" with. Dogs are nice, too, but I like cats.

I would:

1. tell them to work with the GOP members of congress and see both sides of the issue

2. ask Obama to resist urges to be as bad as Pelosi and Reid

3. ask them to resign and give their positions to the Republicans

Deffinitely. It is going to be horrible.

Mitt Romney 2012

-3 points

I don't know many others so I am gonna have to say yes.

Mitt Romney represents the true GOP. He is a strong buisness owner and a common sense conservative. I think he might even have been able to beat Obama in the General Election because he would've blown him out on the economy!

The GOP did well in my local elections (as I live in the conservative northeastern coroner of Illinois north of leftist Chicago) but I was upset by the Presidential election. Even my conservative area voted for Obama. I am fearful of the kind of President he is going to be and I think foreign powers will take advantage of him.

0 points

As much as I'd love to I cannot guarentee that it will not happen, especially with Obama as our President. I think that the terrorists will take advantage of him and it's just a question of will it be something small like releasing a video to scare us but never actually doing it or will it be something ver bad

Alright I'll give it to you.

John McCain is going to win this election and I don't care what anyone says. He is the most qualified candidate for the job. I know the American people will not elect a radical who is going to increase spending by $3 trillion: and that means your taxes go soaring.

John McCain and Sarah Palin are qualified candidates with moderate views that will lead this country and bring real change to Washington.

It will not be able until election night (because the media won't tell you before then), but McCain will be our next President.

I'M JOE THE PLUMBER

I am one of the few teens in America that are for McCain but I believe it is right to support him no matter what kind of pressure people put on you to not support him.

Obama does not have it wrapped up. Everyone said that Kerry had it wrapped up in 2004.

Palin's got WAY more experience than Obama and the media ignores it.

What is this? I don't get it.

Sarah Palin has 16 years of political experience and has reformed government and taken on political corruption.

Obama has only 11 years of political experience and has developed connections with people like Rev. Wright, Pfleger, and domestic terrorist Bill Ayers. Obama is simply another Illinois democrat and we DON'T need anymore of those.

Take a look at the below video to see what he did to help his district in the state senate---he did nothing.

Obama's district

This one isn't even a contest!

Look at the two candidates! McCain is an experienced veteran and Obama is an inexperienced radical who has never traveled south of our border!

The last time Obama went to visit the middle east (remember, the big media-fest) he canceled many visits to troops in Germany, etc. But, I guess you didn't hear about that on Keith Olbermann so it isn't true (sarcasm).

The candidates' past says it all.

You are totally correct. The country is falling into Obama's "good personality."

MCCAIN PALIN 2008---BECAUSE WE NEED CAPITALISM, NOT SOCIALISM

5 points

It is simple. We cannot lower gas prices if we do not have an increase in oil supply. Plus, wouldn't you rather get your oil from right here in the USA than the Middle East?

And don't listen to the liberals. It will not hurt the animals, that is their excuse.

DRILL BABY DRILL

Absolutely John McCain! He is an experienced veteran with a great past while his opponent, Barack Obama, is an inexperienced radical socialist who is going to raise taxes $3 trillion! Don't buy the "only raise taxes on families earning over 250,00 dolars" crap. He is going to overtax the corperations and guess what? The corperations DON'T pay taxes! You pay their taxes. So in his "secret" way, he is going to raise your taxes.

John McCain will restore government in Iraq and get the taliban out of Afghanistan, he will lower your taxes, he will close the borders, he will come up with REAL solutions for the economy, and he will be environmentally friendly.

If you trust Barack Hussein Obama, and I don't know how you could after all the info I just gave you, but if you do, vote for him, but I SURE DON'T!

Obama will raise taxes...trust me

Sound like more liberal propaganda.

EARLY VOTERS: DO NOT BE SWAYED

Dan Seals continues his dirty, Chicago-like politics by send people out to early voting sites to try and sway voters to his side. Do not listen to them.

They are trying to get you to vote for Seals, but it should make you less likely to vote for him because of his Chicago-like style that is already ruining our great state.

Vote for Mark Kirk to put a stop to this dirty politics.

Mark Kirk for Congress

Dan Duffy is the clear choice in this one. He represents the young Republican very well and will bring change to Springfield, unlike his competetor, Bill Gentes, a Blagojevich Democrat.

Duffy represents the strong conservative views of the district he represents. He is a smart, opinionated conservative who will help us change Springfield. He has a lot of buisness experience, as he owns his own buisness.

Duffy is the clear choice for this district.

Steve Sauerberg represents change for Illinois, unlike Durbin who has been in Washington forever. He represents new GOP values that this state has not seen since Abe Lincoln. Even the Republicans who have represented the IL GOP since Lincoln have not been the best, but he represents true change for this misled state.

Vote for Steve Sauerberg on November fourth if you want real change, or Durbin if you want another Blagojevich Democrat.

Supporting Evidence: Sauerberg reigns in endorsements (www.weareillinois.org)

Mark Kirk represents the views of his district. He is a common sense conservative who is a Republican but still cares about the environment and other important issues that some members of his party have failed to focus on.

On the other side is Dan Seals. Dan Seals is exactly what we don't need. Seals is another Blagojevich Democrat, and we don't need any more of those to ruin our state. Seals is wrong on almost every issue ranging from the war to the economy.

As the Chicago Sun-Times said, "Kirk the easy choice in 10th district"
