I hate to have to admit it, but burning the American flag in a sort of public demonstration or protest, so long as said demo is done peaceably and orderly, infringing on no laws or safety, IS a tenet of our Freedom of Speech. That is, our 1st Amendment Rights.
Having said that, I also admit that in my past on the two occasions I actually witnessed somebody doing this, I felt like kicking the living shit out of them. And it took every fiber of my being to restrain myself from doing so.
The first time I saw somebody burn the flag was when I was in college. Undergrad school at the U of M. Playing hockey. We were in DC in the off-season (Springtime) for a hockey Instructional Camp conducted by some coaches on the US National Team.
Me and three teammates were seeing the sights of DC, after practice, and were near the reflecting pond that's adjacent to the Washington Monument. A group of a dozen or so demonstrators burned a flag in protest of our "non-involvement" in knocking out some African warlords who were allegedly denying the peoples over there their allotted UN food/material aids.
So, yeah, all the protesters were black. African blacks.
We approached these guys and my teammate immediately grabbed the nigger holding the flag by the neck and threw him into a concrete statue. LOL Then he began to stomp out the fire on the flag. I was actually going to join in on the other fuckwads, but they were backing off. And then I saw some DC cops heading over our way so I called my guys off and we jogged out of there.
So, yeah, even though the majority of the assholes who burn American flags in public deserve to have their heads put through a wall, to pass legislation denying this act is to begin upon a slippery slope. After all: first the Government denies burning the flag, and then what might be next? Banning ANY sort of public dissent? See, this is not a good path to embark upon.

And no, technically, that document is not one of Laws that are necessarily legislated and enforced in America today.

Think about it: If your car starts up in the morning, and you, say, could see inside the engine and witness all the inner workings of internal combustion, EXCEPT for the coil sending an electrical charge to the spark plugs, well, you still KNOW that the coil did just that. You need not see it so long as you have extensive proof and observations of the rest of the operations.
So, we get the same sort of dynamic here with Abiogenesis: it being the "spark" that kick-started the Evolutionary process.
With an experiment further showing how this happened, proof is present that it indeed occurred in some similar if not exact fashion. This sort of proof would fall into the "beyond a reasonable doubt" category, given the plethora of remaining evidence for the remaining processes of Evolution.

Why?
Because.....the stats people who put out that bit about 5000 or so "children" being killed by guns each year are considering 17 y.o. black gangbangers as children. Did you know there are only about 3000 tigers left in the entire world?? Well, that is....tigers living free and in the wild.
But here in the united States we have about twice that number in captivity. Mostly in zoos.
One of the wildlife charities I am on the board of is one to save the Florida panther, who is in worse peril than the tiger! There's only a few dozen panthers left! Fifty years ago we had hundreds!
The tigers are supposed to be a protected species in Africa, but the government's there are very untrustworthy and cannot be depended on to enforce protection laws. They will allow tigers to be hunted and killed for sport if the money is good. Since most African nations are poor. This is where international wildlife protection organizations must come into the picture.
Go online and see what you can do to help these guys. Or see if your parents will! I say that since you sound young.

We atheists most certainly do not make-up our own morals. Rather, the vast majority of us are good and decent law-abiding citizens who follow the accepted morals and codes of society. Many of us volunteer for charities, as I do with Habitat For Humanity. Many of us work in fields to help others, such as in law enforcement and medicine and Social Services. Perhaps you are unaware that there are far more secular charity and philanthropic organizations than there are of non-secular ones?
We simply do not need to engage in superstition and Bronze Age Hebrew Mythology to be good people. Nor do we need to believe in false imaginary friend sky gods or long-dead Jewish carpenters. And we certainly do not need to ascribe to the teachings of a blood-soaked holy book that has dozens of passages in it that call for murdering entire ethnic peoples, or children, or innocents. As does your bible.
Nor do we feel compelled to partake in holy wars, which have killed millions. If you need your silly religion to try and be decent people, then fine. Use your crutch if you must.

Actually in my last post I did not engage in bragging or Narcissism at all. I did not mention my military service, and the fact I DID moderate for a bit on DDO is also not a brag, but a simple point of fact. To be sure, I do not consider being a mod on an internet debate site anything to brag about. I have also written many posts that did not ridicule Christians. Actually, Mr. Saint..there is a bit of truth in your post here.
In that: I DO prefer Naturalism over Theism, and I DO find some of the awe-inspiring beauty found in this world of nature to be so intrinsically complex and beautiful and majestic so as to be very close to what you call Supernatural. I have always felt that the nature-based religions, like those of the ancient Celts and the Native Americans, to be far more palatable and logical than the Theistic ones that worship gods and godesses.
And hell, I AM satisfied in my reality, unlike most Theists, who are so very UNsatisfied with it that they feel compelled to invent gods and various versions of Afterlifes.
If you mean that believing I myself am the Master of my own destiny, then, again YES! I suppose by that very limited definition I think myself akin to a god.

The meaning is to enjoy it as much as possible--via the Epicurean belief system--as well as to also learn as much as possible about us and our place in the Cosmos.
